I saw this film a few weeks back and actually thought it was pretty good, considering it's an Amityville sequel. The acting was definitely sketchy but it had some decent scares. I found it to be surprisingly creepy. Has anyone else seen this recently or remembers it well enough to comment on?

I saw Amityville 1, 2 and 3 and the second part is by far the best one: the creepiest, the weirdest and the sexiest of all. Mind you, parts 1 and 3 are not that tough competition.
It's generally a more disgusting update on The Exorcist theme, Amityville 2, isn't it, The Butcher? When you think about it... it would be a more fitting film if named Exorcist 2, actually!

I wasn't impressed with the first one {or the remake although I thought it was slightly better} but I do remember enjoying Amityville 2 quite a bit more. It was certainly nastier-obviously the filmmakers of this one didn't feel bound by having to stick to accepted 'facts'. I need to see it again really.

It's on Showtime this week, hopefully I'll have a tape for it ready. Will have to comment on it (not in review hell though, probably in this thread.)

Hey guys! I was surprised to see so many posotive responses about this film. I thought I would be eaten alive just for mentioning it. The most unnerving scene for me is during Sonny's birthday party. As his whole family is smiling at him the voice tells him to kill everyone, that they would be better of dead. It's so creepy!!
By the way guys, I added a review for this film to Review Hell.
