Does anyone know if any of the movies from this company have been released on dvd? I'm mainly interested in the "Subspecies" series. I know VHS copies were virtually impossible to find, I think you could get them from the fan club but they cost an arm & a leg. The copies I have of the first two I bought used from the video store. I've searched the net & came up with nothing, not even an official site for the company. Any help would be appreciated!

Full Moon Pictures went bankrupt & sold all their films to a no-name studio which didn't do well with their films & the baton got passed again to yet another studio before the films slowly disappeared. So MgM was the last studio to be interested in them, which of course would now belong to Sony Pictures if they even got the rights, Long story short, no.
Best luck would be to look for VHS & maybe a few titles that made it to DVD on E-Bay. I was Lucky to get The Puppet Master Box Set for around $300.

I would love to have the Subspecies movies on DVD. Radu is definitely one of the best movie vampires ever.

I remember seeing some Subspecies DVD's on amazon.co.uk and I even meant to buy them but then ran out of money. That would be a blind buy, though - never saw any of these movies, just heard they're cool.
As for the Puppet Master series... the first ones were alright but when I recently saw Part 4 (or was it 5?) I thought that the puppets just hit the very rock bottom of the horror genre. Looked much more like a Transformers episode than anything remotely horror-related!

I read back in December 03', that a Subspecies 5 was still a possibility. Apparently, Charles Band was considering selling the Subspecies rights to director Ted Nicholai (sp?) and actress Denise Duff.

Full Moon--BOOO!!!! They suck! They usually do, yeah. But you can find some rare and always a bit damaged diamonds amongst all the trashy films made by these guys. Hope Subspecies is one of them...

So I take it you're not a fan? Nope. But don't think that hasn't prevented me from hurting my brain by actively watching some of that garbage. Two summers ago I rented a double feature (Dead and Rotting, and Stitches) and sat home by myself eating Pizza Hut chow and watching those rotten films. Trent Haaga (from Troma's Citizen Toxie and Terror Firmer) was in Dead and Rotting. He's a guy that I think might be forever stuck in the underground, even though I believe he has potential (but not with Full Moon). I learned at a young age that Full Moon meant "Never get yer 90 minutes back."
