(Almost) everyone loves the original Basket Case. But the sequel delved too deep into strangeness and the added monsters were way over the top to imagine they could be real. Still, I don't think it's a bad movie - lots of campy pleasures here - but not one of Henenlotter's best.

Haven't seen the sequel...I may have to try it out though. I like 'campiness' and 'monsters.'

Yeah, I think that this movie should suit you well then, Phoenix. Have you seen Henenlotter's other super-weird film, Brain Damage, by the way?

I haven't actually. I've only seen Basket Case, which I loved. Will have to check that one out too!

Well, Brain Damage is my recommendation! I know that some fans of Basket Case hated this movie for being different in tone than BC, but in my opinion it's even bolder, funnier and weirder than Henenlotter's most famous film.
