Now to make our lives easier they decided to add 'free' DVD's to four-packs of beer!
I don't know - maybe it's an old routine abroad, but in Poland that's fashion that has been born just days ago, and today I got my first DVD this way (Green Mile attached to four cans of Faxe). Adding DVD's to magazines is nothing new by now but the beer variation seems to be much better than this - the drink stays with you longer than (usually) useless magazine, doesn't it? Then again, this month the range of magazines with DVD's also widened and in a good direction: for the first time ever Playboy had one too! A pity it was 54 (the Mike Myers' sentimental trip to the seventies) but still.
So, the question: how does it work outside Poland? What do you guys think of the idea?

I don't think they do that here in the U.S. At least I've never heard of it. But I could go for a six pack of beer that maybe brings a DVD box season set of the series, "CHEERS". Or perhaps a movie like "ARTHUR" or "BARFLY" or "ROADHOUSE". See a pattern here? ;D

I haven't heard of such idea like attached DVD to a pack of beer. Bart, what kind of a shop was it, cause i'm a bit interested.

I bet you are, Ark! It was Tesco, I think. But they don't sell the package anymore - I guess you'll just have to wait for a good moment and this fabulous opportunity to get drunk and have a movie will reappear... I don't think it's just limited to the Tesco stores.
