The movie is about Ian Cranston, the great-great-grandson of Ichabod Crane, who returns to Sleepy Hollow unaware of his significant lineage. Ian’s return stirs the vengeful spirit of the Headless Horseman, and a slaughter ensues. Ian, the newcomer, must save his town by confronting the Horseman and settling an old score. The cast includes Nick Carter, Kaley Cuoco, Nick Turturro, Judge Reinhold, Kevin Zegers, Joseph Mazzello, Eileen Brennan, Stacy Keach, and Melissa Schuman. Although it's not official, there's talk that the film will make its premiere on the ABC Family channel this Halloween. It's been said that in order to do so, they'll have to create two separate versions -- a PG made-for-tv, and an intended original rated-R version (sexuality, gore) that will hit DVD next year if all comes together. You can also expect deleted scenes to be on the DVD. So far nothing is official, so anything can still happen at this point.

The R-rated version of the movie doesn't sound bad.

Until now... The R-Rated version only contains minor sexual references and some small gore. Nick Carter doesn't do the best at acting, but at least he tried. Cool beheading moment, but not much else. Something that would entertain a 12 year old kid on Halloween, not 18+ (my version of the review at UHM.com)

Finally saw the preview for this on ABC yesterday. UGH! It looks HORRIBLE. And in the commercial for it they interviewed Nick Carter...wow he looks bad and he is so arrogant and stupid! The shots from the show looked really cheesy too.
I think I may skip this.

I actually really enjoyed this one. Continues the story nicely, the kills aren't that bad, it's got some nice suspense and there's a great finale where they have to battle it out in the middle of the forest, so it's got plenty of atmosphere in here. Sure, the kills are a little dry and there's not a lot of gore, but it's surprisingly above-average.
A much better take on the style, though, is Headless Horseman. That one is entirely engaging and thoroughly entertaining.
