THE FLY and INVASION OF THE BODY SNATCHERS are being remade again?? Wow, I guess in Hollywood the new motto is: If the original is great, and the remake is even better, let's keep remaking it until we completely screw it up.

Dear god, that many?
Movies that have already been remade among them, including Ju-on (The grudge)?
Suspiria? Black Christmas? Altered states? When a stranger calls AND its sequel?
I swear, this is getting downright frightening. There seems to be some conspiracy to prevent original thoughts.
People, you know what? If all of these (or even half of them) do get out, I really, REALLY don't think we should even watch them, not even to make fun of them. They (executives at hollywood) seem to have become convinced that as long as it makes money, who gives a shit if people like it or not. They'd only get encouraged to keep on doing this.

Not The Changeling! That was one of the only horror movies with a lot of class. Not that I mind the classless horror movies, but occasionally a respectable one comes along like the Changeling that I don't want tampered with.

And we have become the enablers by turning into mindless zombies of the Hollywood machine. They don't care WHY we go to see it, even if it's just to make fun...we're still paying our money no matter what the reason & that's all they care about.

I haven't yet seen The Changeling but the thought of The Wicker Man or Suspiria being remade is scary alright.

A bit of info on Pet Sematary:
I really don't understand the logic behind this remake. But as the saying goes: "Oh well"....
Variety reports that Paramount has tapped Dave Kajganich (who also penned an "Invasion of the Body Snatchers" remake for Warner Bros) will be writing the "Pet Sematary" remake of the 1989 horror film.
Based on the novel by Stephen King, "Pet Sematary" tells the story of a family who moves near an ancient burial ground in Maine, where dead and buried pets seemingly rise from the grave, but with a different and more evil persona.

Kinda sad when they have to resort to filming remakes of movies from way back in 1989.

I bet they just want to make demonic CGI cats! I just can't see Church as a CGI...it just wouldn't be right.

Hey, I just found this thread, how accurate is it?? At least half of these don't need to be remade! Altered States was perfect the way it was!
Same with The Fly!
