Profiler Will Graham is called by the FBI for assistance with several grisly murder investigations. His unique ability to decipher the minds of killers thus makes him an invaluable aide for their crime-solving. Unfortunately, it comes with a price: It's starting to make him loose his grip on reality. Thus he's asigned to the care of one of the most reputed psychiatrists: Hannibal Lecter, also famous for his haute-cuisine dishes...
Producer Brian Fuller [Pushing Daisies; Wonderfalls, Dead like me, etc.] brings his considerable skills to this prequel to "Red Dragon" and the infamous Hannibal Lecter books and movies. Like "Bates Motel" this turned out to be quite a pleasant surprise, with it's generous use of dark humor, extremely nasty murders, clever scripts and fine acting from everybody. It also knows when to twist the original book's content to surprise the audience and play with out own preconceptions. All in all, an effective crime drama/ cannibal horror show.
