This 1980 little flick directed by Uli Lommel (then followed by a sequel) seems to be getting pretty good reviews here and there. And my question is: why the hell?! True, it's not the worst horror film ever - there are scissors in the eye in it, after all - but why say it's all of a sudden such an original piece?
I'll gladly read a defense of The Boogeyman here. My own rating is * *.

I'm not exactly going to defend the movie, but I did like it. It was one of those half bad/ half good 80s horror movies that's just fun to watch, whether it be for the good parts or the bad parts. The death scenes are the best thing about it.

Cool. I thought no one here has seen it. You're very right about the death scenes.
