And finally, the long-awaited return of broadcast television shows:
How I Met Your Mother Partners-Follows the relationship between a man, his fiancee, his gay brother and his partner. Not a bad start at all, there's certainly something to work with here regarding the three different relationships depicted and it's got funny enough characters to make this work in the future, only I hope they don't turn this too stereotypical regarding the gay characters here as that looks pretty precarious the way it's done so far. I'll give it a chance, but here's hoping it doesn't turn out the bad way. 2 Broke Girls

Animal Practice-The head of a veterinary clinic tries to balance her lack of a social life with the various eccentric personalities that work in the facility. Pretty funny at times, as there's some pretty funny personalities that work there and there's a couple nice storylines that can come from the set-up. The main thing is that far too many of the different workers are just one-note jokes so far, so I'd like to see a little diversity among them because it's got the potential to wear thin after a while. Guys with Kids-Three male friends and their girlfriends/spouses try to maintain their wild college ways while starting to raise a family. Not so bad thus far, but I smell a quick hook for this one. It's pretty stupid at times (which I don't mind at times) and the concept is really cliche without doing anything really different with the well-worn material. It's watchable stuff, but is it going to be those looking for new and original material or something that makes the cliches watchable but does nothing original with them? Modern Family The Neighbors-A family moves into a gated community and finds the whole community a secret ground for aliens looking to study the human race as a potential place for habitation when their home planet becomes unlivable. Utterly hilarious stuff here, the big hit so far of the new shows and one that I hope doesn't get the boot early since this reeks of an early cancel. There's a lot of room to explore here, the characters are hilarious and the show's very watchable. I like it a lot.
