Bone Sickness Above the Law (actually the HK movie Righting Wrongs, not the Seagal film, but more importantly, upgrades a VHS I had of that film I never turned in since I thought the film never had a DVD release but found out about the new name while shopping around.) Jackie Chan's Who Am I? Mr. Nice Guy The Protector Special 2-Disc Edition Battle Warrior

Just got a bunch of new dvd's (now I just need to somehow find the time to actually watch them):
- The bride with white hair.
- Last year at Marienbad.
- The terror.
- The nanny [1965 film with Bette Davis, no relation to the American sitcom]
- Snow white: a tale of terror.
- Labyrinth.

Ooh, Bride with White Hair. You're gonna love that one, it's one of my favorites in that HK wire-fu genre. I really need to get another copy of that one, I taped it off TV ages ago and don't remember where it is.

For perhaps slightly different reasons, but we'll see. Forgot to add to the previous list: - El dia de la bestia. - Ladrón de cadáveres (one of the first Mexican Luchador / horror movies, apparently). - 29 palms. - The 39 steps.

"El dia de la bestia" - this is one of my all-time favourites! A great, great movie! It's a pity that Alex de la Iglesia didn't direct anything even remotely this good since. Not long ago his newest movie premiered here in Poland and, I'm sorry to say, it's quite terrible.

Yeah, De la Iglesia seems to be one of those directors that started his career with manic energy (his first two films, "Acción mutante" and this one) and then moved to the mainstream and started languishing. He did direct an episode of "Historias para no dormir", "The baby's room"... it's a pretty good thriller, but definitely toned down compared to his earlier works.

Got a box set of "Saint Seiya: The lost canvas", with the entire series.
I'll probably make a thread for the actual series in the animation forum once I've seen the whole thing, but so far this was a pleasant surprise, it kept most of what made the original series so special* while adding a more streamlined plot and a different but not at all bad art style. ¨
* I should point out that the anime Saint Seiya or "Los caballeros del zodiaco" was enormously popular in Latin America, France, and a few other countries back in the 90's, so it was a big part of my childhood.
