Kind of curious how we're viewing movies nowadays. I have watched movies in all of the above ways, but I think standard DVD is still my preferred method (even over Blu Ray).

95% of my movies I watch on TV, the rest is either DVD or online, usually off the IMDb as they host them for free on their site.

I voted "Regular DVD" because that's what I've been using so far but I'm planning to finally buy a BR player and I guess I'll be switching to BR discs whenever possible. There IS a huge difference between DVD and BR, no doubt about that.

Well, 90% of the stuff I watch won't go to Blu-Ray so I've never done the upgrade, plus I don't really get why you'd rather watch a film in better quality if the movie itself sucks. That just doesn't seem logical to me, nor does that inane 3-D fad that's going on. Man, I wish that'd just fade away and stay away like it used to be back in the old days. We tried it in the 40s, the 60s, the 80s, and I guess now it's time for us to learn it again here in the 2000s. I just hope it's soon.

I actually have the PS3 Blu Ray player, but we don't use it for movie watching much. Since I use netflix, I don't want to pay the extra surcharge. I end up watching everything in another room which has the standard DVD player. For all the crap movies I watch, I dont really need the amazing quality of Blu Ray. Same thing as you were saying slayrrrr - why bother?

For anyone thinking of switching from DVD to BR, here's a good new deal from Warner Bros.: DVD2BLU
