It would seem Jason Friedberg and Aaron Seltzer, creators of such garbage as Date Movie, Epic Movie and Meet the Spartans, have out-dumbed themselves. uk.youtube.com/watch?v=5AXk_NklsngI think this was supposed to be a spoof on disaster films. The following are NOT disaster films: Iron Man The Incredible Hulk Enchanted Hancock Sex and the City Juno You Don't Mess with the Zohan The last three are literally combined in one scene. How stupid is that? Carrie from Sex and the City (played by a man) gets in a fight with Juno, who for some reason decides to mimic the "foot-slapping" scene from Zohan. Meet the Spartans was a disaster itself, but this waste of celluloid seems like it's going to make it look... mildly below average by comparison. I really hate these guys. Uwe Boll makes funnier movies.

There ought to be a law that you can't make a spoof of a movie that's less than a decade old or something.
This shit has to stop.

Personally, I don't care how long ago a film was released before spoofing. By the time the year started, 300 was just right for spoofing. But is it too much to ask for a little comedic timing? Maybe do like they did in the old days, when the story was merely supported by cheeky movie references, and not the other way around.
That's what these guys can't seem to grasp. And yes, spoofing films that haven't even been released yet is completely asinine. Meet the Spartans had a ridiculous after-the-credits sequence involving Rambo dancing to Britney Spears in a bikini. I'm not making that up. I had to clean up after that movie. But if I'm not mistaken, I believe Rambo was released the very same day as Meet the Spartans.
Superhero Movie was not good, but it was definitely a move in the right direction for the genre. It was mostly about story (which was, in a nutshell, Spider-Man) supported by random silliness and stupidity. I caught myself chuckling at it a few times. I attribute that to Zucker's involvement, because that's a man who can get spoofing done right. He's lost his touch over the years, but he still runs circles around these hacks.
But cow falling on top of skinny Iron Man? Not funny. Hulk losing his shorts? Not funny. Miley Cyrus killed by a meteor, but alive long enough to namedrop her new CD? Not funny... in fact, kind of messed up. Princess Giselle from Enchanted being hit by a car? Not funny, or even remotely relevant.
Oh, and Juno foot-slapping Carrie from Sex and the City is not only unfunny, but I do believe that the producers of You Don't Mess with the Zohan should seek legal action. I don't know if these guys thought they were "spoofing" Zohan (that scene, in itself, was the silliest thing I've ever seen in an Adam Sandler movie), but they were actually stealing the joke. If I'm not mistaken, I do believe that is plagiarism. And I really hope these guys get hit hard with that.
