Hey everyone, I got one more list from Heineken, still waiting on more!
Feel free to send them to me over this next week. I'll be gone all next week for Army training, and we're moving the weekend after, hopefully, if everyone has they're lists in by then, I can start building up the BIG REVEAL!!
So keep sending them!

I just sent my list.
And man, do I need to see more traditional monster films (like werewolves, aliens, witches, etc.); I've only seen about 15% of the movies mentioned so far. And hadn't heard of so many of them.

After I sent my list I remembered two more movies that I don't remember seeing in this thread before:
- Dance of the vampires. The Roman Polansky movie; through structured as a black comedy it has enough (actual) horror it should count. At least as much as Blacula.
- Cronos. Or La invención de Cronos... through this one is a bit more difficult to classify --it has a character that through a supernatural curse gains a thirst for blood and a weakness to sunlight, yet the focus of the movie is a bit different from traditional bloodsucker monsters.
What do you guys think?

Never heard of the Polanski film, never seen Cronos so I can't say anything about those two.

The Polanski film is under an alternate title here - The Fearless Vampire Killers; a great spoof (sort of) of Hammer-style horrors!
Cronos is a fine movie, too, and myself I would count it as a vampire flick - albeit a very unorthodox one.

Ok, that's Fearless Vampire Killers? I thought it was a companion film he did, but if you say so, then I'll take your word on that. Differing titles aren't my forte so to speak, especially on films I've never seen.

What do you guys think? I can allow those two, I suppose. Cronos, I would kinda classify as only half-vampirish, but I can see what you're getting at because the guy did develop a taste for blood and eternal life.

Differing titles aren't my forte so to speak, especially on films I've never seen. This is a film of many titles: Polanski's working title was Ball of the Vampires, it then got changed to Dance of the Vampires, but the studio didn't like it and changed it to The Fearless Vampire Killers which was the first official release title (for the crappy producer's cut). Later director's cut was released as Dance of the Vampires, but further re-releases of this longer cut on DVD again got the moniker The Fearless Vampire Killers (although not everywhere in the world). Love the movie, though its humour tends to be weird to the WTF?!-degree. A must-see, slayrrr!

It's a horror film, Bart. I'll get around to it at some point in my life. especially for the Hammer influence that I'm such a fan of.

Which is an example of the kind of odd humor it uses. Another example: this movie is famous (among other things) for a scene wherein somebody tries to hold a vampire at bay using a crucifix... it turns out the vampire in question is Jewish and so croons: "Oy, have you got the wrong vampire!"
