"Variety reports that New Line has reached a deal with "Final Destination" creators Glen Morgan and James Wong to develop a third film.
Co-writer Morgan and writer-director Wong have not revealed any details to the plot of the third film but is expected to follow the lines of the first two. Both films told the story of a group of kids who, after escaping death, finds Death chasing them."
I really like the first two movies, hopefully this one will be just as good. Any thoughts?

Well, the first one and second one were enjoyable for different reasons. The first one was creepy, the second one was just plain fun. So, how's the third one going to be? Time will tell.

Loved the first one, liked the second. Hopefully this new movie has likeable characters again - part 2 lacked them, I think.

The rumor is that the 3rd one is set in an amusement park, don't know if it's true or not. That's why I don't ride amusement park rides, seen too many news stories about people getting killed on them. Plus I'm afraid of heights.

I never thought of this series as a Trilogy.

Yeah, the second one had the coolest death scenes. Precisely. The first movie was ejoyable because it was one of the few films of the late 90's that actually potrayed interesting characters, whereas the death scenes were mosly subtle, more like actual accidents and therefore all the more terrifying. The only exception was the teacher's death, which I didn't really like --too over the top. In the second, the characters are significanly simplier, and the death scenes are all designed to be more spectacular than realistic. Fun to watch, but rarely compelling, except for the pileup at the beggining. The perils of employing an action movie director, I guess (how many explosions can you cram in a horror movie, anyway?) As for the third, I really like the Amusement Park setting. I think it's a terrific (and terrorific) idea. But we'll see... I'd prefer a more somber approach this time, but I don't think it's likely to happen.

FINAL 1 was a really eerie movie which was one of my top ten modern horror films. FINAL 2 was a fun ride, but lacking.
