My dad turned me on to this offbeat animated series. It's pretty random, but not as discombobulated as, say, Aqua Teen Hunger Force (which I just cannot understand).
The basic premise is a spoof of Johnny Quest (you even see what becomes of the "real" J.Quest and Dr.Banner in Season 2): Scientist father raises two boys (who look like Peter Parker and Fred from Scooby Doo) with a super violent body guard named Brock Sampson. Throw in an evil villian, The Mighty Monarch, and his girlfriend, "Dr.Girlfriend," and hilarity ensues. If you like comics, old cartoons, and funny adult animation I'd say give this one a try.
I used to watch those old Hanna Barbara cartoons, so for me it's very nostalgic. The story lines are expertly written, and the writers do try to tie in past episodes into the current storylines.
I've been netflixing the DVDs and am looking forward to a Season 3 in the future.
Does any one else watch?

I've seen it a few times and it is pretty damn funny. I'm just never sure when it's on.
There is some twisted shit on Adult Swim. ;D

It's really hard to catch it on Cartoon Network. Their schedule is completely random. Hence we started getting the DVDs. Even the On-Demand is really spotty here with our cable, you can't find most shows. Boooo.

Venture Brothers is easily the best original series Adult Swim ever had. Even better than Deathclock Metalpocalypse, which, believe it or not, has some really kick-ass Metal tunes added to it.

I like Metalpocalyspe too - the new episodes have been weirder than ever, but very funny. I miss Venture Bros though - I really wish they'd make new episodes.
