Man, it was a "sword & sandal" testosterone filled Sunday!
Besides going to the movies to see "300", we also watched on tv:
LAST STAND OF THE 300 (Special on the History Channel. Obviously, a more realistic and educational account of what happened than the film. Try to find it if you enjoyed the film version.
ROME (As good as last season was, this season has been even better. Every episode's been a gem.)

The Simpsons Family Guy The War at Home Til Death The Winner-It's catching on, and there's a charm to it, so it stays for another week.

I could go for a week without updating here and you'd still see the same shows.
Even though I missed the new Ned's Declassified School Survival Guide (I'm sure there'll be a rerun) I did watch the new Simpsons (the whole box wars thing was hilarious and better than nearly all of the battle sequences in Lord of the Rings) and I'll probably be watching 24 tonight tonight as well.

Watched on Monday:
EBERT & ROEPER (Two thumbs up for "300")
4 episodes of THE SARAH SILVERMAN PROGRAM on Comedy Central (Probably the most narcissistic, self-centered lead character on tv. She makes Larry David and the characters on Seinfeld look like humanitarians and missionaries. Hilarious.)

I did watch 24.
You know, it puzzles me when everyone sez it's a right-wing show because really, it doesn't cater to the right all that much. The new evil President has a Texas accent (subtle much?) and the old dirtbag president (most shocking moment of last night) was blatantly Republican. But at the same time it has left-wing characters who are kind of lost (the only decent one was President Palmer the First) and too trusting. And Jack Bauer himself is undergoing intense psychological damage. No, it's really more of a bi-partisan show. And it's still awesome.

Sunday:
The Simpsons - Not one of their best, but pretty funny. Family Guy - Also not one of their best, but funnier than the Simpson's episode, and it definitely had its moments. And now, Conway Twitty.
Monday:
The Black Donnellys - Anyone else watching this show? I think it's pretty good.

I don't feel too much pull toward the right or left wing honestly. I think they do a good job of keeping it pretty even, which I applaud. SPOILER: And I didn't expect Martha to stab the ex-prez! yikes!

Digging for the Truth-Two Egyptian-themed episodes in three weeks? This just got bumped into regular rotation They've done quite a few Egypt-themed shows...those are always my favorites... Monday: UFO Files DFTT Dresden Files (taped) Tuesday: Dirty Jobs The Unit I also watched the pilot episode of The Riches (I think Monday night?) & thought it was pretty good...at least it's different from most of the stuff on now days, and the performances were good, esp. Minnie Driver.

Digging for the Truth-Two Egyptian-themed episodes in three weeks? This just got bumped into regular rotation They've done quite a few Egypt-themed shows...those are always my favorites... I just got turned onto it a few weeks ago when a friend said the exact same thing, so I turned it off if nothing else was on to see that, and ever since they've done the two in three weeks, I've bumped it to regular rotation, one of the quickest shows to do that. Last night: According to Jim In Case of Emergency Til Death
