YES!!! I saw the first episode and it WAS damn great: scary, bloody, sexy, surprising, well-paced and finely acted... nothing more you could want, really! In the most important aspects it is true to Lansdale's brilliant short story and the 50 mins. time-frame suits it nice. 8/10: I wish more big-screen horror films were this good!
Perfect opening for the series - can't wait for the next episode!

Well, part two aird over the weekend, the Stuart Gordon episode. Anyone else catch this one? It's a great episode, off the wall though, and totally Gordon. Some new thrills and FX, plus one great jump after another.

Is anyone out there watching this? I'm watching this in between my "Never-Ending Shame" series, so I know others are out there.
Plus, thought this was interesting: Just read on Fango that the Dario Argento episode was deemed to explicit to air on Showtime! He apparently filmed a scene where a guy/girl chowed down on a male genital, even though they never knew he would do that in his episode. Even on Premium Cable, he is too off-center for them. Nice!

Yeah, I read this about Argento's episode - ah, the fun! Apparently he had the munching scene in the script but no one expected he is actually going to SHOW it! ;D
Also, I saw Gordon's episode finally. It was really good - creepy, bloody, tense, sexy and weird (which should be no surprise if you know you are watching Gordon's another adap of Lovecraft's fiction) - but I liked the first episode just a bit more. 7/10

Well, after the slightly disappointing Hooper episode, we had the Argento episode, Jenifer, and this one gets us back on track with one of the best ones so far, and easily a contender for best of the series when official voting commences. A police detective (Steven Weber) saves the life of a young woman during a hostage drama, and takes the woman, Jenifer, home since she has no family or friends. As the severely deformed woman grows on Weber, he finds out that she is tearing apart both his family and anything that crosses her path. After finally deciding that she is worth more bad than good, he takes her away up to a cabin in the woods, where things get even more disturbing. Very entertaining episode. Lots of graphic gore (this one so far takes the cake as to which one is goriest) and features impressive make-up on both Jenifer to transform her into a sight that very few men would want to keep nearby, and on the victims as well. Hardly any jumps, though, and none of the traditional Argento camera flair drag it down some, but a clever story, impressive gore and believable performances make this one a real treat in the series. Also, this one contains a pretty shocking scene that is heavily censored, even on premium cable, of her chowing down on a guy's genitals. See this one soon.

A GREAT ARGENTO EPISODE!!!
I watched Jenifer late at night yesterday, so just imagine what freaking dreams I was having afterwards! Man, oh man - the word nightmare has changed altogether for me!
I, too, was surprised that Argento left his usual flair at home this time, but damn he's good to make this story come alive! I mean - it's so out there, really, that you wouldn't give a shit about the characters had it not been done in such a perfect way! Kudos to Steven Weber, too: a truly traumatic role here. Side note: Weber also wrote a script for Jenifer, did you notice?
Okay, so... will anybody top this, I wonder? 9/10

He sure did, I think it was an initial storyline like writing though, I don't think he wrote the final shooting script.
One of my favorites so far, and right up there with the first one as a highlight in the series.

Whose episode goes next? After Argento's I can hardly wait for it. Also - I heard Landis' episode is great... let's see if he qualifies as a master of the genre.
