Married with Children: Season 5 - Disc 3
I guess my last viewing qualifies in this thread sinse they were all once shown on tv.
Metallica: The Videos
Having the full legth uncut version of One with Dolby Surround 5.1 was worth the purchase alone. Most of the vids from Load & Reload album I had not seen before.. didn't really miss much. I dissapear & No Leaf Clover are on the dvd as well. Extras - The film version of Unforgiven, Vintage interview with lars talkin about their first vid & how the idea came about, Cut version of One with no film footage, Some Kind of Monster doc trailer.

I heard they left it open in case they ever wanted to make it into a real TV series. Doubt that will happen though. Last night I watched The Office. Hilarious!

Got Smallville: Season 5 on HD DVD six days ago & just finished watching all 22 episodes last night. I'd never seen this show before, so all was new to me. If Warner decides to release the previous 4 seasons, I'm game, if not, ah well. I found Mark Snow's score throughout the season a bit X-File-ish. Don't wanna be to quick to judge, but I felt the only cast member who brings life to this season is Chloe. The actor who plays Clark/Kal El/Superman's character was very.. well dull imo. Lana is sure a sight to see in HD though. Hmm... I think starting to watch this series with Season 5 is an odd choice. The series definitely has a mythology to it and like THE X-FILES or LOST, there are storylines that continue throughout the show from episode to episode and season to season. I think starting with Season 1, a viewer would get more enjoyment out of it and be better vested in the characters. I think Lex Luthor is one of the more interesting characters on the show, especially the first couple of seasons, as we'd never really seen him portrayed in live action as a buddy of Clark's. I actually think Tom Welling is a pretty good Clark/Kal-El and he's had several moments within the series to shine. Giving roles at various times during the run of the show to Christopher Reeve, Margot Kidder and even Terence Stamp (Who played General Zod in the Chris Reeve movies) is a really nice touch and shows that the writers & producers value the past film history of the characters and stories. Married with Children: Season 5 - Disc 3I guess my last viewing qualifies in this thread sinse they were all once shown on tv. Most definitely. If it was once aired on tv, it is most welcome in "Where's the Remote". If you've noticed, I've posted a lot of tv series lately that I've been watching on DVD. Metallica: The VideosHaving the full legth uncut version of One with Dolby Surround 5.1 was worth the purchase alone. Vintage interview with lars talkin about their first vid & how the idea came about, Cut version of One with no film footage... Nice to hear this stuff has finally made it to DVD. I actually have a VHS of the two different versions of "One", plus the Lars interview. It was called "2 of One". Oh, and last night I watched SURVIVOR.

I heard they left it open in case they ever wanted to make it into a real TV series. That's what I was thinking, the way they ended it. I think it would be a pretty cool series..I'd watch it. Last night: part of the 49ers/Seahawks game-wow! Was that an imposter 49ers team?! ;D

I know, too soon to judge & yes it wasn't the smartest move to watch Season 5 first. I was tempted to buy the first four season on dvd.. Just from what I've seen of the series so far, I really enjoyed 'em eps. Nice to hear this stuff has finally made it to DVD. I actually have a VHS of the two different versions of "One", plus the Lars interview. It was called "2 of One". Thats what the extra feature is called on the dvd. Quite the wait for this. I got the dvd for only $15 canadian. Finshed watching Seinfeld: Season 7 today. The Last year with Larry David workin on the show. Can't wait for the gift set of Seasons 8 & 9 together. Ya know its gotta happen. ;D
