So I complained about the 80's version of the series, right? But neither "Shatterday" nor "Chameleon" (the only 80's episodes I saw so far) annoyed me as much as this first episode of the 2002 incarnation of the show did. Called "Found and Lost" it stars Brian A. Green of the Beverly Hills 90210 (or whatever the number was) fame and is a story of a young man whose life was miserable because he had once stolen his father's precious baseball! So now, given a chance of altering the past, he travels back in time and puts the ball on the mantelpiece where it belongs. Then he smiles and the credits roll... Aaahhhhhhhh!!!

It is, isn't it? But anyway, I need to watch at least one more episode until I start puking all over the 2002 series. Be patient.

I was actually pretty thrilled when I heard about this new series before it started, but then I just never got into it. I saw one episode, the story revolved around a woman sent back in time to kill Adolf Hilter as a wee baby. Despite starring the ever-gorgeous Katherine Heigel, I couldn't really get into it.
Neither the 80's Twilight Zone nor this new incarnation have the same feel and zaniness that the original Twilight Zone had. The heart just isn't there anymore. I think it's time to own up and realize that The Twilight Zone ain't shit without Rod Serling at the helm.
