So... who's a fan of this era of the series?
Being a fan of Wes Craven I recently hunted his episode called "Shatterday". Based on the story from the ace Harlan Ellison about a man who makes an accidental call to himself and notices with dread that his other self answers, starring Bruce Willis (sporting some hair and a crazy pinkish sweater), the episode just plain sucks. Has anyone else seen this? What's wrong with all the 1980's sci-fi series?!

Heyyy... what are talking about? There were plenty good Twilight Zone episodes. I don't remember that one you refer to, well even if that was crappy that doesn't mean the whole series sucked. I love 80's............................................................................................................................................................................

I remember the 80's Twilight Zone being pretty decent, but inferior to the original series.
And way better than Amazing Stories....

Normally I'm a fan of the 80's, too, but this series just doesn't seem to work. I just saw another episode: "Chameleon" directed by Wes Craven and starring the great Terry O'Quinn. It's a bit better than "Shatterday" because at least we get good acting from O'Quinn here (while Willis was terrible in his episode) but story-wise it's trite, boring stuff, it really is. Check this out: an alien comes to visit Earth and morphs into a human being, sits in a closed room observed by suspicious humans for several minutes and then escapes back into the space. That's it!

The Fox series: Beyond Belief-Fact or Fiction? is more entertaining.
Hosted by Jonathan Frakes, no less.
But there's a gimmick to that show that makes it a bit more fun, despite boorish acting and ridiculous stories.
