Sorry I'm a little late coming to this party... I'll come here even later - Cabin Fever's Polish theatrical premiere is creeping nearer and nearer... Damn! How old is this film already?!

Seriously Bart you aren't missing much by not seeing this movie yet. It's pretty mediocre I thought. Since you like horror, I'll be curious on what you think though of it. The make-up is good - but not as good as, say, Dawn of the Dead remake.

Phoenix is right, Bart. No hurry on seeing this one. I noticed in the Cult Films section that there are plenty more movies worthy of your time that you haven't seen yet.

...I noticed in the Cult Films section that there are plenty more movies worthy of your time that you haven't seen yet. I know, I know - I'm ashamed about not having seen some of those. The only problem is that they're usually much more difficult to get than the near-mainstream Cabin Fever.

Cabin Fever 2 is coming:
From an interview with Eli Roth
"We are getting in the draft next week from Randy Pearlstein, who I co-wrote the first one with. He's got such a good idea for the sequel, and I can't wait to read it. Lion's Gate is rearin' to go, so hopefully once the draft comes in we'll start preproduction. I know I was the face of "Cabin Fever," but Randy really helped "flesh out" the characters before I killed them off in horrible ways", explains Mr Olsen, ah, Roth.

CABIN FEVER 2? Is this really necessary? I know some will say, "YES!", but think about it for a minute before you answer. Think of the sequels that used to get people excited that they were being made. THE GODFATHER PART 2, THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK, ALIENS, etc. Nowadays we're expected to get excited about sequels to such mediocrity as CABIN FEVER. Don't keep feeding the Lame Sequel Monster, people. It's okay to expect a little more for your money. No, really.

You're right Heineken, it used to be only the highly successful films got sequels & now you can find them in cracker-jack boxes. ;D
I won't dismiss this sequel until I've seen it though. However, these sequels are getting pretty easily to predict these days, a little too easy & thats not a good thing.

This isn't so bad. I liked Cabin Fever... a lot, actually.
The sequel we should all REALLY be worried about is the Devil's Rejects AKA House of 1000 Corpses 2.

Cabin Fever was pretty lame. More interested in homaging films of the past than coming up with anything decent, original or entertaining. Most of what was original about it didn't work (as mentioned before, the virus angle is woefully under-explained, for one) and about the only good thing about it is the whole 'shaving' scene, which you should know. That was all I liked about it. The rest of the film utterly sucked.
And Cabin Fever 2 will be released sometime this year.
