I just looked at IMDB's "Sleepway Camp" entry and saw the original running time as 88 minutes, but the DVD version as 84 minutes. I never saw any of them, but if someone who saw both versions and knows what 4 minutes are cut from the film, please tell me.

I have all 3 of the Sleepaway Camp movies on dvd. I never noticed if the first one was cut or not. I guess that I to watch it again to see if it's cut.

hmmmm... I have only seen it on DVD, there doesn't seem to be anything important cut. Maybe IMDB made a mistake.

Yeah, it's possible. I had the same problem with my DVD of The Beyond: all the gore's there, but imdb adds several minutes to its running time. Nobody's perfect, you know.

Is The Beyond all that gorier than 7 Doors of Death. I heard 7 Doors is heavily cut, but man was that a nasty flick.

Most versions of 7 Doors are cut, though they're all different if it makes sense. I think somehow that cut version (however you might like to cut it) is now public domain while the uncut (or as close as you can get) is not. Might just be a thing of Anchor Bay/Rolling Thunder having rights to The Beyond (in title).
The cut versions I've seen don't slow down the head shot Warbeck gets on the little girl, the cleaning lady's death doesn't show the spike going through the back of her head, and I think Joe's death doesn't show his eye falling out.
No matter what version you ge though, you always get to see Warbeck load a gun by dropping bullets down it's barrel.
(I realize this reply is extremely late and probably everyone has moved on, but I have a short attention span when it comes to message boards)
Edit - Oh yeah, the original question. I think the only cuts made to Sleepaway Camp are the curling iron insertion thing (it never shows anything obviously, but the sound and the idea itself seem to be gone) and the shot of Angela's "piece" towards the end is kinda blurred.
