Here's my picks: 1. Zombie (78)- This one has a lot of things that I love about zombie films: Nudity, lots of gore and blood, an atmospheric setting, and at least one memorable scene to being up in discussions as bait to lure new watchers over to the film. (The eye scene: need I say more)... ...actually, I thought you'll mention the Zombie vs shark scene here. Anyway, a great list, Mr slayrrr. Then again: Zombie Lake in the honorary mentions does bother me a bit. Isn't this supposed to be one of the WORST zombie films ever? Tombs Of The Blind Dead, on the other hand, I think I will have to check out.

Then again: Zombie Lake in the honorary mentions does bother me a bit. Isn't this supposed to be one of the WORST zombie films ever? [/blockquote] Thanks. I know, but I think of the eye scene as being a better highlight because of the way the scene is. You think that the camera will cut before the eye gets there, then it just keeps going and going, and just when it looks like it's going to cut away, the spike penetrates the eye, and you can see it going in. I got a chill down my spine just writing this, as the suspense in the scene is just phenomenal. That is why I claim the eye scene: I'm a sucker for suspense, and although I love the shark vs. zombie scene, the suspense in the eye part won out. I do love both scenes, and the film as well, but I don't think I can justify my position any more. As for the Zombie Lake recommendation, I said I have a preference for Italian films, and even though this is terrible, I recommended it in the spirit of insulting it. Because it wasn't in the descriptions list, I couldn't state my case against it. I like it because it is one of the only zombie films where you can sit back with your friends, have a beer, and just rip into it. That's why I put it there, not because I think of it as a great film, but because you can make fun of it. [/quote]

Explanations accepted! And yes: the Eye Scene is one of the most terrifying ones Mr Fulci ever came up with - I love it, too!

Well, with all the recent zombie films coming out (Return of the Living Deads 4 and 5, Undead, news of the Night of the Living Dead and Day of the Dead remakes, the sequel for Dawn of the Dead,) this could be changing pretty soon. Any other takers on these films?

No, I'm not joking. It's being shot in 3D (!) and stars Sig Haig (!!) and is already completed (!!!, wow, I just caught that, three surprise comments, movie's in 3D. ;D) It's already been said. I may join you on that urge to kill, Q.
