Okay, okay - I've been mentioning Kari Wuhrer here many times, but I do think she deserves her own thread; or even: as many threads as there are going to be new films starring the girl. So call me sick, why don't ya? Anyway, the long awaited Hellraiser Part 7 is now on DVD and, surprise-surprise, it disappoints. The first 30 minutes are good though: the Romanian setting, a nice mystery, some suspense, good nightmarish visions, sexy Kari. Then it all goes down the drain - except for Kari who's always sexy, pretty and putting her soul into the bloody events. All in all, not the worst horror flick I'd seen but it's not a Hellraiser sequel I expected, either. Other thoughts?

I must be out of the loop b/c I'd forgotten about this. Straight to dvd huh? Doesn't say much for the quality of the film then...maybe I'll give it a watch one of these days. Did Barker have anything to do w/ this one?

Did Barker have anything to do w/ this one? He didn't - the Deader screenplay was supposed to be an original film, but after some time the moneymakers decided to chain it to the Hellraiser franchise. And you can see this is forced. Still: I'd say it's worth a watch.

I was never a fan of the Hellraiser series, I found it to be for a better word Boring. This is IMO mind folks, no one else's. I could never get into the series. I recently got a copy (bootleg) of the first three movies on one dvd. Some one made it and stuck the three movies onto it. Well I bought it for £3 to try and see if I could get myself to see what others see in the series. Still the same for me folks, so maybe, just maybe sinse I dont like the series all that much, who knows what my thoughts on the movie will be like. One thing is for sure, I will let you know what I think of it when I see it, which will be around next week at the latest . Kari Wuhrer - she is always lovely, she makes any movie look good.

Maybe something to check out if I have nothing else to do.

Kari Wuhrer - she is always lovely, she makes any movie look good. She was the only thing I liked about Eight Legged Freaks. I haven't seen the last three or four Hellraisers... Never heard all that much positive feedback from people...

I voted it as a Poor movie. Sorry guys (the ones who like the series), but I hate it, it is just as bad as the entries into the series before it, in my eyes anyway. As much as Kari Wuhrer is do-able and she is extremely do-able, the movie wasn't good and she didn't make it any better I'm afraid.

But there are several good scenes there, Graveworm! The one were the woman searches the flat after arriving in Romania? The one "with the knife in the bathroom"? After these the movie became much less interesting, though, that's true.

Love the pic of Pinhead....I may have to check it out. Ah, see - Pinhead always works! I'd put some more pics of him, but since I refuse to paste anything that comes from the SECOND half of the movie, this will have to do for now.

Ole Pinhead looks a little bloated or puffy in that picture. Maybe he's developing an eating disorder from the stress of working in Hell...
