It finally arrived to Poland on DVD! Now, I remember how this film moved me deeply when I saw it several years ago and would like to know whether you felt similar about it.
A short plot reminder: a family starts living a nightmare after they make the mistake of being too nice towards two young pals wearing white gloves and allow them to enter their house; near the end...
SPOILER
...the movie changes from thriller to mind-f#@ker with its 'pausing the action' trick - and that may be putting off for some viewers who liked the initial atmosphere - but for me it only made the whole thing more unique.
SPOILER NO MORE
Waiting for your thoughts, mates!

It was that rewind thing that ripped the film apart for me, it made a grimly realistic film into some bizarre fantasy.

Yes, yes - as I wrote above, I can understand that; this rewinding changes the mood of the movie a lot. It didn't spoil the movie for me (though I did feel strange when it happened) but I can imagine some other people stopping their tapes then and throwing them out of the windows. It's kind of like watching Rocky preparing himself for a final fight for 80 minutes - running, boxing chickens, sweating the hell out of himself - only to find out he's got hidden Superman powers that are revealed when the fight finally takes place.
