It;s not terrible, but it's got the kiddie stamp on it. Pretty recycled gags from all over the place, some jokes that fall flat, and not that much story to it. Some funny moments (anytime Robin Williams is on screen, meeting the family in Robot City, and the brother-sister relationship scenes are okay) but this movie devises more chuckles than belly-laughs, so be warned. ;D

Thanks slayrrr,
Hows the computer CGI animation? Is it on par with Shrek, or Madagascar, or Shark Tale, or The Incredibles etc etc.. Thanks

I would say it's close. A few scenes it bleeds through, but only slightly and barely noticeable. It looks great, but I don't have the DVD eye you have, but to me, it looks as good as The Incredibles. No problem, glad I could help.

While the design is pretty cool, most of the characters look like tinker toys or they have a retro 50's sci-fi type of look, I thought the movie itself was dull. I thought even Robin Williams sounded bored. While he was absolutely genius as the Genie in Disney's ALADDIN, he sounded like he was just going through the motions in this one. In fact, with as much talent as this film had, Ewan McGregor, Halle Berry, Mel Brooks, etc., nobody really struck me as doing anything particularly special. The whole movie just kinda sits there. If you're going to spend 90 minutes watching a computer-animated film, then I'd suggest your time is better spent watching anything by Pixar. I'd give it a 5/10 (For the design and one or two sight gags)
