Haven't seen this edition of The Abyss in Poland yet.
Myself I'd like to include A Mighty Wind here - just like This Is Spinal Tap and Best In Show this DVD has GREAT extras without being called 'special' on the cover. Sure the film disappoints a bit but a commentary from Guest and Levy, 22 minutes of deleted material AND the whole Reunion Concert with no interruptions is everything you need here.

In re Clifford: I wouldn't that the OUATITW DVD is perfect. I think that the documentaries definitely rock, and I absolutely love the Easter Egg trailer ;D, and I have literally nothing to complain about with the movie. The commentary could be a lot better though. Frayling's is great, I think Carpenter was really funny in his first scene (the one where Harmonica gets captured by Frank), but all of the others - blah. And the stills galleries were excellent, but should've been actually, y'know, galleries? It's also sad that they didn't get to talk to Charles Bronson before he died. That would've been ace. What I would like to see? Well, I'm waiting for the extended edition of "A Fistful of Dynamite" to come out, and there are a lot of others that I can't remember right this second.

If not added already T2: Ultimate Edition. 3 versions of the film, Anamorphic Widescreen, Dolby & Dts soundtracks, & a boatload of extras. Enough to keep you busy for the day.

The perfect DVD for me is. . . . Criterion's 2-disc release of THE LIFE AQUATIC WITH STEVE ZISSOU.
No annoying previews to cycle through, always a good thing, plus, it has performances from Sue Jorge who did David Bowie songs in Portugese. The commentary is original, performed in the restuarant where Anderson and Baumbach wrote the screenplay. There are two behind the scenes specials, one by a student filmmaker and actor in the film and the other just a camera showing how the movie was made, none of those nostalgia trips that make up most behind-the-scenes features. There are interviews with select individuals, a fake interview with Anderson and Baumbach with an imaginary talk show host character from the film, a couple things about creating the fish, an interview with MARK MOTHERSBAUGH! (which was awesome in itself, props to that), plus the usual array of story boards, production photos, and other whathave you. Then, there's like four different audio options to choose from (which I have no idea about, but there are four of them), a healthy amount of chapters, and the DVD itself presents a wonderful transfer.
The people at Criterion are definitley masters at creating DVDs.

They said they did and I have no reason not to believe them.

That it takes place in a resturant? Yeah, it does.
There's a point where someone drops a glass and Anderson and Baumbach and like, "Whoa, what was that?" And you can hear the background conversations and other resturant sounds. I like trying to pick them out at times.
My only problem with the commentary is that they had to bleep out Cousteau's name. I think it was something that the Cousteau didn't want to be made a part of the project or something. There's a disclaimer at the end of the movie too.
Anderson is also a lot cheerier and happier than Baumbach, whose, I don' t know, kinda goth.
