Anyone else watch this last night? It was the 'gay plot twist' episode (with Fox's Parental Advisor warning: this episode features gay marriages - which I thought was the funniest part of the show). This season hasn't been a great one but I thought the episode was pretty good. I enjoyed the 'Gay-Friendly' Springfield commercial.

Yeah, Homer becoming an ordained minister over the internet so he could perform gay marriages was pretty good too. Leave it to him to figure out how to make a buck from the situation. ;D Overall pretty funny episode.

It was a funny episode last night.
I liked everything up till the ending. As opposed to other arguments, I still think The Simpsons is a great show, but a lot of the best stories are the B-stories now (Flanders's Passion of Cain and Abel, for one), but it's still great. I think the only problem they're having right now is ending them. To me, the endings have been really flat lately.
I wonder if they're gonna play the lesbian thing from Patty or if they're going to take the REAL Principal Skinner route and just forget about it.
I also think it's funny because people are in an uproar over it. Especially the conservative right, but that's not an argument for here (like on IMDb where it's argued constantly that it's no longer funny to watch the insults thrown at the different parties). But still, I guess their anger here is a little more grounded than the whole "Spongebob equals gay" thing.
