I have the 17-inch tall "talking" Ash figure from McFarlane toys and I was showing him to my boy. He pointed at Ash's feet and goes, "boots."
See there? I'm raising him right.

Yeah, you're doin' good...just keep him away from that death metal... My niece and nephew, who are 12 and 6, love the Evil Dead movies, and Ash. My nephew went w/ my brothers when they met Bruce and he was on cloud nine. I think it's been the highlight of his young life. ;D

Yeah...and we wonder why she is the way she is... And when my nephew was about three his favorite movie was Hellraiser. He wanted to watch "Pokehead"...which is what he called Pinhead. ;D

Those kids are getting far more graphic and violent movies than I did--and at a younger age.
Cujo was my first terror--I was 4 I think. Robocop when I was 8 or 9, Pet Cemetary (one of the most traumatic films of my youth) when I was 9 or 10 and Total Recall when I was 11. Saw it with my brother who was 10--and we went to the theater by ourselves!

Everyone! You all need to see this movie!! Go NOW! And so I did. I liked it - how could I not? - but the slow middle part did bother me enough not to proclaim it one of the best films ever. I'm all there for Bubba Nosferatu!

I like Bruce and all, but this was two hours of my life I'll never get back. Thought it started out okay, but overall it was pretty rotten.

I said the same as Heineken in the 'Just watched' section. It was bad. Watch Ho-Tep instead!

I forgot to set the vcr to tape it...sounds like I didn't miss much though. Which is unfortunate... Especially considering that was pretty much Bruce's pet project that he'd been planning and working on for years...

The theatre actually showed Bubba Ho-Tep for a local film festival, and I got a chance to meet Don Cosarelli, Bruce Campbell, and Joe Landsdale (the author of the original story)
