Outer Limits

In my opinion this the best non Star Trek sci-fi series ever made.

I have not been watching The Outer Limits very long. In spite of that, the series has made a regular viewer out of me. There are several reasons why this show is a stand out for me.
The Control Voice. In my opinion, this is the soul of the show. Every episode that I have seen has had something thought provoking to say. These little messages really make the series unique and set it apart from other similar shows.
The cast. I enjoy seeing guest appearances from people who I wouldn’t have thought would take a role in a Sci-Fi show. Some of the list of guest stars have included: Kim Cattrall, Cynthia Nixon, David Hyde Pierce, Marlee Matlin, Teri Polo, and Rachel Leigh Cook, Samantha Mathis, and Cary Elwes (to name a few).
I find myself liking this show a little more every time that I watch it. It is fast becoming a favorite and will be making it’s way into my DVD library soon.

Underappreciated
Very good show. The modern twilight zone. I think if there were no x-files, this show could have made a bigger impact. Good, modern stories, and many twists. A lot of guest stars, which isn't necessarily bad. I really think this is a very good sci-fi show. No main charecers, or a similar theme, but sci-fi stories.

The modern Outer Limits (which originally aired on Showtime) is what I think you're referring to Spacer?? Not the old black/white show? I'm assuming from your cast list.

It's hit or miss with me. Some of the hour long shows they did drag out and sometimes the lesser actors do a poor job. I almost prefer the remade 'Twilight Zone' from a couple of years ago to this.

What are some of the better episodes you can think of?

I've watched a lot of the original Outer Limits from the 60's and a lot of the Twilight Zone from that period. Classic, good stuff.

I liked his performance, why in your opinion he was obnoxious?
Specify what it so irritating for you in his acting.

I just wasn't a fan of the spoiled whiney brat he portrayed. He was good in Stand By Me, but on Star Trek he bugged me. I was happy when he left the show.

I have enjoyed quite a few Outer Limits episodes. In a sense, I prefer the classic OL from the 60's because the atmosphere and feel speaks to me a little more than the modern ones. It just has this odd "horror" feel to it--the old series, I mean. But, unfortunately, I don't remember the names of any of the episodes.

I just saw my first episode of The Outer Limits - you guys got me interested in it, dammit!

Called "Sandkings" and based on a novella by George R. R. Martin (very famous in Poland, this story; titled "Piaseczniki" here) it was pretty good indeed. Beau Bridges plays a scientist breeding some intelligent Martian insects and when the project is closed he takes some of them home and the hell breaks loose. Nice atmosphere, good acting (except for Bridges' kid - terrible!) and gripping plot make it a worthwhile affair.

So, who has seen it?
