Do I really need to say who my choice is?? Look at the avatar. Check out the user I.D. All I'll say is that, everytime C-3PO says, "Thank the maker!", this is who he's referring to. ;D Hey, I just noticed this is post #666 for me. Ooh, scary....

That's not fair, Heineken. You placed a God among men.

Hey, I just noticed this is post #666 for me. Ooh, scary.... Huh: it's still 666 today. Hope everything's okay, Heineken? I'm not overly superstitious or anything but when MY counter hit this cursed number I quickly posted something else to make it 667. Damn, who knows what can happen when The One Who Already Stepped To The Dark Side is seduced by the devil! Oh, and, uh - sure... I vote in the poll just like did, guys.

George Lucas peddles shite, and you know it. And Indiana Jones is only good because of Spielberg, who, by the way, is not in your poll and did not get rubbish after a good start. I've gone for Babylon 5, as the guy knew how to make storylines LAST and never buggered them up with midichlorians or included the line; "you should know.... mom!" into one of his shows. In fact, why is George Lucas up against Chris Carter and J MIchael Strsasjdekhjbaf or whatever when they made TV SHOWS!!! What the hell kind of poll is this, anway? Come on, bring on the flames - I love it!

George Lucas peddles shite, and you know it. Um, sure. Okay. Spielberg isn't in the poll because he didn't "create" any genre series or franchises. He directed, but did not come up with Indiana Jones or Jurassic Park. I wasn't trying to differentiate between movies & TV series. Only that the movies had to be at least a trilogy. "MIchael Strsasjdekhjbaf or whatever"?? Well, it's a good thing you voted for him. You're obviously a big fan, huh? The kind that stirs shit up, obviously. You can clearly see how upset I've made everybody. Just set yourself on fire and spare us the effort. ;D Have a nice day and thanks for voting.

heh heh.
I'll leave Lucas alone when he's given up and gone home.
By the looks of it I'm just arguing with people who appreciate my point but just disagree. Sorry.
He is so overated though.

Look Algo, I don't have any problem at all with anyone disagreeing with my opinions, comments, reviews, etc. on these boards. That's what they're here for, to discuss, debate, share information, etc. Your post just came off like trolling. Starting your post with, "George Lucas peddles shite, and you know it.", after everybody who had voted before you, voted for Lucas, comes off as you trying to push people's buttons. And ending it with, "Come on, bring on the flames - I love it!", makes it seem even more so. No one who reads these boards or posts here, should ever feel like they can't speak their mind or voice their opinion, I just feel there's a right way and a wrong way to do that. If I feel someone is trying to troll though, I won't hesitate to call them out on it. The poll is, "Who do you like and why?", not "Tell us who you like and rip on other people's choices.". We cool?

George Lucas peddles shite, and you know it. Well it depends on the definition of the shit. Basically everything's shit. ;D I must add that I'm not biased positively towards Lucas as I didn't like his latest flicks. And Indiana Jones is only good because of Spielberg, who, by the way, is not in your poll and did not get rubbish after a good start. I always liked Spielberg but here Heineken's rightI've gone for Babylon 5, as the guy knew how to make storylines LAST and never buggered them up with midichlorians or included the line; "you should know.... mom!" into one of his shows. For me Babylon 5 was just a borrowed idea from Star Trek, still good but not freshCome on, bring on the flames - I love it! You mean one small happening - human torch - some did that stuff for different reasons In Corea as form of protest In Iron curtain countries for the same reasons In USA for the fame You from boredom ;D -

For reasons completely obvious for me I voted for Gene Roddenberry the creator of Star Trek. This is the best sci-fi series for me for all kind of reasons.
I liked the original Lucasian Trilogy only. Later flicks of him were less and less atractive for me. eg. I can't remember them vividly.

For me, STAR TREK overall, is pretty brilliant stuff. Roddenberry had a great vision and, like Rod Serling, used Sci-Fi as a vessel to present his morality plays on human nature. The characters, Capt. Kirk, Spock, Picard, Data, etc. are iconic characters as important to the genre as they are to general pop culture. Unfortunately, the various tv series and movies over the years have been hit-or-miss, IMO. Both 'NEXT GENERATION' & 'DEEP SPACE NINE' started out slow, but got much better as they went along. "VOYAGER" was almost unwatchable. And when it comes to the films, everyone knows about the "only the even numbered movies are good" rule. While I'm mainly a STAR WARS guy, I'm glad to see STAR TREK get recognition. ;D

I almost agree ;D but indeed it was the worst among all Treks, especially I didn't like the living hologram character it sucked but the whole series was still watchable ;D but lacked the vigor and freshness While I'm mainly a STAR WARS guy, I'm glad to see STAR TREK get recognition. ;D
