Are you baffled who’s Arnold? It’s not me. Yes you’re right I’m talking about the real very well-build Arnold now the governor of California. But I’m not really interested in his political goals. Here are his great achievements in Sci-Fi field.” Wait a moment, what are you talking about?” you’re gonna say. But I maintain strongly that without him the sci-fi movies would lack a lot. What about TERMINATOR saga. It’s not only classic science-fiction in the Frankenstein style but also a very good horror flick. I love it. Imagine if somebody else played his role, e.g. Sylvester Stallone, Bruce Willis or Michael Dudikoff. That wouldn’t be it. Stallone would be just pathetic, Bruce I like you but that’s not your field, Dudikoff? I won’t say anything. The power of Arnold is not only in his gorgeous, shining muscles but in this that he never pretended to play, he is just himself. Not overcomplicated but simple, not acting but real. He’s the best choice to play a machine or be like a machine. Or like ‘human machine’ who killed the invisible Alien in PREDATOR, another classic sci-fi movie. To surprise you I must say that I hate watching mindless shootouts. I can do it only if he’s engaged. And you have to admit that these flicks are more than that.
I open this thread to let you free your mind in this field. I welcome Arnolds’ fans and geeks. You can praise him as much as you want. If you say that his films suck you are greeted too. Wanna say his Neanderthal as brainless as a reptile? You are free to do so. Any other ideas or thoughts? Write and reveal them!

Let the hell break loose, then: I always liked Sly more than Arnie. ;D
No, really - I did. I'm a sick bastard who liked Cobra more than Commando and Rambo more than Conan. However, there are movies with Arnold that I really appreciate... and here go their titles:
The Running Man - strange but good Terminator - hard to argue with this one, isn't it? Predator - underrated and yet a hugely entertaining flick
Some of his newer movies aren't bad, either: I enjoyed both End Of Days and The Sixth Day to some extent. AND the third Terminator, of course.
A dark secret #154: haven't seen Terminator 2: The Judgement Day so far.

"A dark secret #154: haven't seen Terminator 2: The Judgement Day so far." AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!!!!! Say it ain't so, Bart!! I'm sorry, but at this point I will have to ask you to turn in the keys to this website, until such time when you have rented and viewed both, TERMINATOR 2: JUDGEMENT DAY and DR. STRANGELOVE (No, I haven't forgotten.) I'm your friend Bart and really, this is for your own good. We can't have you just walking around like a "normal" person when you haven't seen those yet. Movie fans on the street will point and laugh. I can't let that happen to you. Go, young man. Go to the video store. Tell them you are a movie heathen and that you need to rent these so that you may rejoin your fellow movie geeks. I could almost excuse not having seen "T2" if you hadn't seen "T3", but somehow you saw part one, skipped part two and saw part three. That's just not normal. I feel dizzy. Must... sit... down...

LMAO...you're killin' me dude. ;D So does that mean you get the keys to the website Heineken? Lord help us... Anyway, Bart sweetie, even I'VE seen all the Terminators & that's saying a lot. Of course most of the time I was held against my will & forced to watch them, but that's a WHOLE other story. We have to get you out of this sheltered existence. You know we do this out of love right?

Sorry for keeping it short but they don't let me write longer messages from here, the movie police. Just wanted to say hi, and that I feel good here, and that they'll release me as soon as I finish watching T2. It ain't easy though... must have breaks all the time... the pressure, you know... the uniformed men all around me... But I'll be strong.
See you soon, hopefully Bart

A lot of Violence on this thread: livingdeadgirl forced to watch the......... violence against her will, Bart arrested by brutal movie police forced to watch... brutal scenes. Somebody has to stop it. OK, Bart tell me where is this police station, Arnie will storm it to set you free as in part1, but I asked him to behave like in part2 (I won't tell you how he behaved in part2 ;D) No more violence guys! ;D

By the way, Bart, when you'll be free again you can drop by to see a panoramic VHS copy of Dr. Strangelove to become a full messageboard member again. ;D I'm the lucky guy as I have it.

Now it's Heineken's turn to play Big Brother And I'm watching all of you. Speaking of Arnold & Sci-Fi, no one's mentioned TOTAL RECALL. A fun movie with some cool makeup & F/X, Sharon Stone as the ultimate beeatch, and everyone's favorite "bad guy", Michael Ironside. One of my favorites by director Paul Verhoeven. By the end of the movie you're still wondering, is all of this part of his memory implant or is it really happening??

"I didn't know watching Terminator is illegal even against your will" Yeah, I think it's illegal in some states, or it should be anyway... Maybe Heineken will be a NICE big brother & not rat everyone out. Total Recall was pretty good, but it's been a while since I watched it so I don't remember the particulars.

I SAW THE GODDAMN T2 AND I'M A CHANGED MAN!!! THIS EXPERIENCE HAS ALREADY AFFECTED MY AVATAR, THE CRAZY COLOURS I'M GOING TO USE FOR MY POSTS FROM NOW ON AND THE AMAZING OVERUSE OF CAPS LOCK; WHAT THE HELL: HAVE SEEN T2, CAN DO ANYTHING NOW! Seriously now: I haven't yet seen it but I can promise you that I will see it as soon as those of you who haven't seen Pitch Black finally do it, too. That's a fair deal, ain't it? And I already (almost) scheduled a meeting with spacer to see Dr Strangelove, which means I do try to be a good boy. PS: Thanks for all the kind letters - they helped a lot in the rough times.

"I can promise you that I will see it as soon as those of you who haven't seen Pitch Black finally do it, too. That's a fair deal, ain't it?"
Not even close. The original PITCH BLACK is only a couple of years old and its first sequel hasn't even been released yet. T2 on the other hand is 13 years old and you've already seen Part 3. Besides, I was supposed to see "PB" when you saw DR. STRANGELOVE. I'm waiting.... ;D
