Okay, here goes:
Michael Caine won his Best Supporting Actor honor for the film Hannah and Her Sisters, but was not in attendance during the awards ceremony to recieve it. Where was he during that time?

I'm almost positive he was filming JAWS: THE REVENGE.

If I wanted to be an asshole, the correct answer is "He was in the Bahamas filming the role of Hoagie in Jaws: The Revenge" but you're glad I'm not that kind of guy. You got it.
Here are the new scores:

Before Sylvester Stallone got the role, what actor was very interested in playing John Rambo in the adaptation of the novel "First Blood" and was actually slated to star?

No, FIRST BLOOD came out in 1982 before Willis was a star and he wasn't being considered for this role. The actor I'm looking for was definitely already a star. Gee guys, besides Frankenjohn, it doesn't cost anything to take a guess.

Hoffman was actually up for the part (It was going to be a much different movie before Stallone was cast.), but he turned it down because he thought it was too violent. However, that's not the answer I'm looking for. THIS actor really wanted the role.

No, but here's a hint. This guy was famous before Dustin Hoffman or Al Pacino.
