Superman Returns added. What I thought would be my favorite movie of the summer is not.

Added:
Superman Returns - And how! One of the greatest comic book films of all time, up to par with the original, made only with the care and respect that Superman deserves. 10/10
The Devil Wears Prada - Great performances by Hathaway and Streep, but I have a high tolerance for chick flicks, and I really couldn't shake that uncomfortable feeling that as I guy I shouldn't have been watching that movie. 7/10
Waist Deep - Let's see... waist deep in racial stereotypes, waist deep in bad writing, waist deep in bad acting, waist deep in cliche, and waist deep in material that will no doubt set black people back a few thousand years. Never has a title been more appropriate. Also, I feel it's relevant to point out that this was made by the director of Glitter, because it shows. 1/10

Added:
Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest - Much like its predecessor stole The Matrix Reloaded's thunder, this film managed to surpass Superman and become the best film of the summer... thus far. 10/10
A Scanner Darkly - Stylish, futuristic Fear and Loathing in Orange County. Rotoscoping was unnecessary, Keanu was flat, but a strong supporting cast with some great dialogue elevate this film to something above average. 7/10

Added:
You, Me and Dupree - A disappointment. Michael Douglas was poorly cast in a Christopher Walken-type role. As a follow-up to Wedding Crashers, it falls short. It is, however, funny and sweet enough to keep you entertained. 7/10
Little Man - A terrible, terrible movie. An unstable concept, left in the hands of incapable people whose films keep getting progressively worse. If you thought White Chicks was bad, at least White Chicks had a couple of moments worth a chuckle. This had NOTHING. Rivals Date Movie for worst film of the year. 0/10

Just added:
Clerks II - The funniest movie of the year. Kevin Smith returns to form with a raunchy, vulgar yet oddly sweet comedy about two guys working at a crappy job and not really caring. 10/10
Lady in the Water - M. Night Shyamalan gets ballsy. Not only because he attacked the critics, but because he wrote something daringly original. He created his own fairy tale, and it's a magical, if flawed experience. 8/10
My Super Ex-Girlfriend - Not really a return to form for Reitman, but merely a mildly amusing tale that gets more points for its originality than its screenplay. Uma Thurman is great, though. 7/10
Monster House - A roller coaster of an animated film. Fun to watch, clever, nice animation and great voice acting. Would make a better Halloween release, but I'm not complaining. 8/10

Just added:
Miami Vice - Michael Mann's weakest movie. Would have been great if the characters weren't so artificial. 6/10
Scoop - A funny, funny Woody Allen comedy. Very underrated, I must say. 8/10
The Ant Bully - A cool little movie, and considering it's the third CG animated movie to revolve around ants, it's actually got a pretty original story. 8/10

Added:
The Night Listener - A short but suspenseful thriller with great acting by Robin Williams and Toni Collette. 8/10
Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby - Not as good as Anchorman, but a stupid (AND funny) Will Ferrell comedy all the same. 7/10
The Descent - Takes a while to get started, but the ride was worth the wait. 8/10

Oops. I haven't been keeping up with the updates.
Little Miss Sunshine - One of the best movies of the year. A funny, intelligent and dramatic tale of a seriously twisted family. 10/10
World Trade Center - Oliver Stone goes simple, and it works. The entire cast is excellent, and the movie had me in tears several times. 10/10
The Illusionist - Edward Norton is in it. And Paul Giamatti is in it. And it's an interesting, original story with some stylish direction. 9/10
Snakes on a Plane - One of the most fun movies I've seen in theaters this summer. 8/10
Invincible - It's not original, but it's a sports movie that definitely has its moments. 8/10
Beerfest - Stupid, stupid fun. I love Broken Lizard. 7/10
Accepted - A lesser college comedy, but it's still way better than Van Wilder. And I laughed out loud several times. 7/10
Pulse - Not as popular as I thought it would be, but I gotta admit, I was pretty freaked out by it... and I'm not easily freaked out. 7/10
Barnyard - The weakest animated movie of the year, but definitely watchable. 6/10
The Wicker Man - Slow as fuck in the beginning, but at the end it's a laugh-out-loud riot. Unfortunately, I hear tell this was supposed to be scary. 2/10

The Black Dahlia - I stand by my original sentiment. Still the best movie of the year thus far. Sorry if I'm being stubborn about this, but I seriously can't find anything about this movie to make me think otherwise. 10/10
Hollywoodland - Ben Affleck's ultimate redemption. For its relatively low budget, Hollywoodland accomplished quite a bit. 10/10
Gridiron Gang - A very good, inspirational football movie. I mean, it's not gonna win any Oscars, but the Rock apologizes for his performance in Doom with this film... And I think I might just accept it. 7/10

Added:
The Last Kiss - A weaker Paul Haggis script, but an excellent film all the same. A great cast, and an Oscar-worthy performance by Blythe Danner. 9/10
The Guardian - Pretty damn good. Kevin Costner is great, and Ashton Kutcher proves once again that he can be something other than Kelso. 8/10
Fearless - A very well-made epic. A good story and some nice fight scenes. It's no Crouching Tiger, but it works. 8/10
Jackass: Number Two - A stupid, sickening, disgusting, despicable piece of brain-cell killing garbage. Of course, I loved it. 8/10
School for Scoundrels - Pretty funny. Billy Bob and Napoleon Dynamite are hilarious. 7/10
The Protector - Incredible, amazing fight scenes... Incredibly ridiculous story. 6/10
Employee of the Month - Meh. Dax Shepherd is funny, but that's about it. 5/10
