I can't wait to see The Black Dahlia, as I'm a huge James Ellroy fan. Anyone got any links to trailers or any of that jazz?

After all, you at least included The Black Dahlia there. Yeah, I've watched a lot of specials on tv about the story, so it will be interesting to see a movie version.

Coppola's next outing is something I'm eagerly awaiting.

I thought the same when I saw the Apocalypto preview at Munich, LDG. At first I thought it covered the end of the world but it's really about the fall of the Mayan empire. I still don't want to see it.

Apocalypto looks like it might be pretty good.
Ancient American cultures are cool.

I didn't care for the Marie Antoinette trailer. Very inappropriate music. But the images shown looked pretty good, and I loved Lost in Translation, so I'll probably check this one out. As for Apocalypto, I've already expressed how excited I am about that one. Mel Gibson is awesome.

You and I are on opposite ends of the spectrum there Smitty.
I personally feel that Gibson needs to be punched in the face.
The music in "Marie-Antionette" didn't feel inappropriate either. Let's take into mind that it's a teaser trailer and this is Coppola. I don't think she's taking into making Antionette evil or whatever, but more of a fun-loving, totally clueless girl.

I personally feel that Gibson needs to be punched in the face. Why? He's a great filmmaker. Like I've said before, the only problem with Passion of the Christ was the near total absence of character development (or proper introductions).

I disagree with you. Outside of the cinematography and maybe one or two scenes, "The Passion", I think, it was horrible.
First there was really choppy editing, mixed-in with some Michael Bay slow-motion (pointless and ineffective), and then watching Christ fall down from every angle imaginable got annoying and redundant. He's more concerned with the blood-loss than anything else, and then he's capitalizing on Christ, something only the Pope and priests (or ministers) are allowed to do! (That last part was a joke.)
And plus, just filming the cruicifixion of Jesus, I think he missed the point of Christ entirely.
But that's just me.

I will probably be freaked out by that movie. Seriously. I mean, "Frogs" scared me...

I see PG-13 in the future for this one. Jackson, though, is the dark horse. If he cuts loose in R-territory, I see this as a first-week box office winner and will then slip down out of running a few weeks later. If he's restrained and edited, Top 5 first week and then slipping down fast afterwords. Don't quite know what to think of it yet, but time will tell.
So far, I really don't know of anything I'm really excited about. Friday the 13th could be the only one, but:
If it's a sequel/Friday 12-first in line at the first showing of my local theater that shows it.
If it's a remake-maybe a trailer/more info to help me out in my decision.
If it's a "reimaging"-DVD pick-up only.
