Okay, this one is another horror film question:
This magazine gave the original "Halloween" a positive review that got the public interested in it and gave it enough attention to turn it into a successful movie. Name that magazine.

And Termination, given your name and all, when I saw that you were the first to respond, I thought for sure you had already guessed it. Yeah, I thought that would be too easy a guess. Also if you said the antagonist killed 29 people, that would be a huge hint in itself. IMDB is wrong though. 2 of the 3 punks we see get killed & I doubt the 3rd one survived.

Sorry, no to all guesses. It's time then, for a hint:
The magazine has a two-word name, both words begin with the same letter, and it doesn't have anything to do with horror at all. It is still around to this day.

Still no. Here's one more hint: a reporter for the magazine appears often on the VH1 celebrity specials they always air.

Michael Musto on the VH1.
Village Voice.

There you go, Frank. It's Villige Voice. On the special features to The Fog, Carpenter says that Halloween was really doing badly because of the negative reviews it had, and when the Villiage Voice reviewed it in a positive light, it generated interest in it and made it into the classic that we all know. I thought that VH1 clue was good enough to get it. A point for Frank.
