I agree with you totally.
And not meaning to pick a fight, Bart, but, yes, Scarface is De Palma, but you know, GoodFellas is...well, Scorsese and he can beat De Palma's ass any day in any movie in any genre.

Just for the record, I voted Scarface in the poll for "Most Likely To See Next" NOT vs. because all 3 films are 10/10.

I agree with Termination. It's unfair to make us choose just one of the three.

Yeah.
I actually stole this from a post at IMDb.com. Don't remember who started it, but I guess credit is due.

GOODFELLAS, no qusetion. Scarface is fun, but just pisses you off if you watch it too much. Mind you, hearing Al Pacino saying "Shay hello to my leetle friend!" in that ridiculous accent never gets old. The Godfather is an epic, but its characters are these big, powerful crime lords. Unless your John Gotti, it's pretty hard to empathise with them. Goodfellas, on the other hand, is about the troops, the common garden mobsters, if you will. I think that's what makes it so accessible as a movie; we're seeinf it throuigh the eyes of a man who is still a wide-eyed kid at heart who just wants to have a slice of the high life. We are seduced just as he is, and our attitudes towards the Mob change with him throughout the film. I think Goodfellas is the most easy to get into of the three.

Good gravy, what a tough poll! I picked GOODFELLAS. One of my favorites. I love THE GODFATHER and SCARFACE too though. I've seen all three of these movies more than a few times. All three are HIGHLY quotable.
