Just wanted to wish everyone a safe & happy holiday! I have a case of the bah-humbugs right now...but when you work in retail you just get sick of dealing w/ the customers & freight this time of year. But I'm trying to get into the spirit. It's a little easier today b/c we have about 2 inches of sleet on the ground w/ snow coming down on top of it, which we're not used to down here, so it looks like we'll actually have a white christmas! Plus it means I probably won't have to go to work tomorrow. ;D

Same wishes to you, livingdeadgirl, and all the other fine members of the board!
No white Christmas for us in the south of Poland, I'm afraid, but what the hell - I'm glad there's no need to go to work for the next two weeks... kind of a shallow attitude towards Christmas, I know that, but it makes me happy, so there you go!

Ah I'm not so lucky, no snow, bad music, and I still work. My school was gleeful that Christmas landed on a Saturday, so, there doesn't need to be a day off. This is my first Christmas living away from a cold weather climate. I keep hearing the stores play some terrible music, and put up large fake trees, but it still doesn't feel like Christmas. I do hope that those able to enjoy the holidays get to spend time with their families, and drink an egg nog for me!

Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Happy Kwanzaa and to my fellow Seinfeld fans, Happy Festivus, a festivus for the rest of us! ;D
But seriously, happy holidays to all the members of The Board.

Yeah, if I have to hear one more version of Oh Holy Night at work I'm gonna go postal... The worst part about it is I start hearing them before Thanksgiving!! I ask you this, is that truly necessary? Need I be punished so? I'm starting to agree with Frank! haha A Festivus!

Merry Christmas. Here are some Holiday quotes for ya. Enjoy.
"Everytime a bell rings an angel gets its wings."
"If I had a drum I'd have to bang it, to add a sort of rumty-tumty touch, but since I left my drummer at home, I'll simply have to say, thank you very, very, very much. Thank you very, very, very much."
"Sometimes the most real things in this world are the things we can't see."
"God bless us! Everyone!"
"I'm on my fuckin' lunch break!"
"This is CHRISTMAS. The season of perpetual hope. And I don't care if I have to get out on your runway and hitchhike. If it costs me everything I own, if I have to sell my soul to the devil himself, I am going to get home to my son."
"It's just like Santa's workshop! Except it smells like mushrooms... and everyone looks like they wanna hurt me..."
"Be sure to drink your Ovaltine. Ovaltine? A crummy commercial? Son of a bitch!"
"Cookies? Who told you you could eat my cookies?"
"Oh! Bleeding hearts of the world UNITE!"
"Wear the hat, Tom. Tom, are you familiar with the phrase, 'breach of contract?'"
"Don't mess with me, Santa. I'm pre-El Nino."
"Naw-uh, fuck that. Nick doesn't do anything until Nick gets something for Nick. I want some hot chocolate. You want to hear about some Indian casino, I want to see some goddamn hot chocolate! And a piece of pecan fucking pie!"
"What brings you here on this bright and uninviting day?"
"Look Doris, someday you're going to find that your way of facing this realistic world just doesn't work. And when you do, don't overlook those lovely intangibles. You'll discover those are the only things that are worthwhile."
"Fella, if you can hear me, I'm just looking for your identification. As soon as I find out who you are, I'll give you a ride back to the mall."
"Yippee-ki-yay, motherfucker."
"You can mess with a lot of things, but you can't mess with kids on Christmas."
"Where do you think you're going? Nobody's leaving. Nobody's walking out on this fun, old-fashioned family Christmas. No, no. We're all in this together. This is a full-blown, four-alarm holiday emergency here. We're gonna press on, and we're gonna have the hap, hap, happiest Christmas since Bing Crosby tap-danced with Danny fucking Kaye. And when Santa squeezes his fat white ass down that chimney tonight, he's gonna find the jolliest bunch of assholes this side of the nuthouse."
"It came without ribbons! It came without tags! It came without packages, boxes, or bags!"
"You're gonna disappoint the children. They expect a fat Santa."
"Truly, this man was the son of God."
Can you guess them all by the Christmas Day?

No egg nog tradition in my country but you can be sure I'll drink some good hot wine for ya then! HOT WINE! Cool! Never had it. White or Red? Today I bought Egg Nog and Champagne. Thanks for the great quotes Smitty. This is my first holiday out of the cold climate, like Mummra, ...it is very bizarre seeing christmas lights on palm trees. Anyway, Happy Holidays everyone! Hope you all get the DVDs you asked for. ;D

HOT WINE! Cool! Never had it. White or Red? It's red. And difficult to avoid, really, at this time of the year in the part of Poland where I live. Works miracles on a freezing winter day.
