Pan's Labyrinth -- 2-disc special edition.
While at the store I overheard a guy asking if the film came in Full screen or with an English dub and when the store guy said no, the other guy stormed off. Good riddance to him I say, the effect of movies are probably lost on him anyway.

What's different from the old boxed set?
I mean...I have the old one with the five-star DIE HARD edition, then doubledisc editions of the other.
Speaking of Die Hard, who else thinks Fox really stuck it to their fans by pushing for the PG-13 rating?

Personally, I don't care what the rating is as long as the movie is good. If I walk out of the movie thinking the PG-13 hurt it in any way, then I'll complain. But until then, let's see what they can do with it.

See, that's where the rating does hurt it. I mean, obviously you've seen the other DIE HARDs, now owning them, so its safe to assume that you could find John McClane an identifiable albeit foul-mouthed hero who apprehends the suspects, even if it's over the top ridiculous violence. Part of the charm of John McClane is that he thinks out loud, screams, "No fucking shit lady does it sound like I'm ordering a pizza?!" "No! You're going the wrong way, asshole." et cetera. It's a character trait...something that McClane wouldn't be without it. I mean, he does some ridiculous stuff in the previous three installments, but nothing like throwing a car into a helicopter. And the scene were the car flips over and he ducks with the iMac guy but is saved by two other cars...he had no way of seeing those other cars so he was just pulling iMac kid in to die....
If this weren't a Die Hard movie I think it would have potential, but, it just can't work, in my opinion.
Oh, and I haven't purchased any DVDs lately.
