Thanks for the Birthday wishes, gang! It was my 40th, so the wife went all out with what she titled on the invitations, my "40th Birthday Extravaganza!".  It was a Hawaiian Luau theme. We had it in our backyard, so she rented a huge tent, tables & chairs and had Hawaiian style food catered. And of course we had a keg of Heineken beer. The yard was decorated with lots of Hawaiian stuff like real and fake pineapples, inflatable palm trees and tiki torches. The entertainment was provided by two actual Hawaiian Hula Dancers who performed about a dozen dances, including several costume changes. We even had a fire pit for when it got cooler in the evening. We had about 60 - 70 guests, most of them in Hawaiian shirts & leis, and the whole thing was pretty fantastic. She really outdid herself and it's easy to see why I married her. We had a blast!  |
