What cover songs do you know that are absolutey horrible? I mean, so atrocias and are such a raping of the original song that you'll actually listen to them...or cut off your ears when they come on?
For me, it's Sid Vicious's version of "My Way." It's just a horrible cover, but so bad it's pretty entertaining.

Some country singer did a version of Piece of my Heart, can't remember who did it though, but it reeked. And Dolly Parton did a cover of Shine by Collective Soul.  I'm sure I can think of some more... |

(I'll have to think about this a bit--the world of Metal is rife with covers--bands always paying homage to bands that came before, so I've got more than my share of cover songs around...)

Oh, I thought of one (and again, it's not even Metal!):
Korn's anal raping of Pink Floyd's Another Brick in the Wall song. I'm no fan of PF, and definitely not a fan of Korn, and that cover sure does suck. PF deserves better than that!

I've heard a couple bad covers of Pink Floyd and a couple good ones.
GOOD ONES: Radiohead's, that's right.
BAD ONES: The cover of "Money" in THE ITALIAN JOB. Eeeeecchh.
The Korn one sucked too.

Okay, I thought of one:
There's a craptacular Death Metal band called Six Feet Under and they released two "Graveyard Classics" CD's--the albums are all cover songs, but here's the real shitty part--the second is an all-Death Metal version of AC/DC's classica Back in Black album! I haven't heard it, but I have heard that it's just atrocious!

There's a punk version of "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" that's the furthest thing from a masterpiece.
It's just one of those fun ones. I'm not sure who the band is though.
