Say you're in line at a metal concert, and you see someone standing in line with a concert tee of a band you really like. You strike up a friendship with him, and he says that he wants you to hear a new CD he got that you should really like. When you hear it, you are very impressed with the group and you ask who it is. The friend replies that it is a Christian group. Do you then say "They suck," or "I hate to admit it, but they aren't half bad." What would you do?

If they're great - they're great! I myself know several Christian bands playing metal - and love'em! Why not, really? I'd be much more afraid of a death metal band which treats the "Hail Satan" thing too seriously.

I'd say they were good and ask where I could get the cd. If I like a song, or group, I like it, no matter what musical genre it is. That's why I listen to so many different kinds of music. That's one place where me & one of my brothers differ... I'll suggest a song or group he should listen to and if it's say, country or pop or what not he'll automatically say "It sucks" before he even listens to it...then he'll criticize ME for liking it. I have no problem with people's musical choices, everyone has their own tastes, but don't criticize me or anyone else for what they listen to. Sorry, didn't mean to get on the soap box...that's just one of my pet peeves.
