This is what I'm listening to right now: Cooper's latest. And I can tell you - this is great stuff, one of his best albums ever. The previous one - "The Eyes" - was a nice one, but I felt disappointed after getting the great "Dragontown" just before that. I thought "Why go back to the past if the "modern albums" ("Brutal Planet" and "Dragontown") were so close to perfect?" And "Dirty Diamonds"? Why, it goes even deeper in the past - and I love it! Perhaps even more than "Planet" and "Dragontown"! Let me say this: all tracks on "DD" are special and sport tunes you can't throw outta your head no matter how hard you try; how often can you 100% honestly say stuff like this, huh? And more: like all Alice Cooper albums "DD" has ballads - only this time they both belong to a tight group of his best tracks! This happens for the first time in my case, really! Usually, I was just waiting for the slow ones to end and for the rockers to start rolling, but no such thing this time: "Pretty Ballerina" and "The Saga Of Jesse Jane" are killers! And just a word of warning: this is one of Alice's softest albums, much in the vein of "Constrictor"; if you don't mind - go and get it cause it bites ass anyway! Me, a heavy metal fan, I don't mind the softness at all when the tunes are this good! 2005's favourite CD for me - and I don't think it will change.

Haven't heard anything from this one yet, but I have been listening to Alice, the DJ. He has a syndicated radio show, Nights With Alice Cooper, that airs evenings at 10pm on the local Classic Rock station. He mostly plays classic rock and interviews guests. He's actually pretty funny. Check out the site: www.nightswithalicecooper.com/
