So, yeah. There's another topic like this, but I guess I'm going for straight-up punk, as my English teacher refers to it as. Normally, I'm not that big fan of punk. The Clash totally kick ass though and The Ramones were always cool. But it's just curiosity, I guess.
So The Clash was my pick. And I mean, you have awesome songs like White Riot, London Burning, London Calling, Police and Thieves, I Fought the Law, Lost in the Supermarket, Should I Stay or Should I Go, Jimmy Jazz, Brand New Cadillac and lots more. And they actually knew how to play their instruments, too. Rare, I guess, for punks.
That's mine and what's yours? If you choose others would you please say who?

The Ramones. One of the most underrated bands of all time and cool tunes in three minutes or less. ;D
The Sex Pistols & The Clash were good too.

Not really a big fan of punk, but I do like The Ramones, so they got my vote.

Going for the Clash, the only real punks worth listening to.
And so say all of us.

My fave punk bands are Polish ones but having these above to choose I have no doubts: Definitely The Clash though they're not an orthodox punk group. Kind of mellow in comparison to majority of punk bands. To me they were just a rock band.

The above is true for me, too: The Ramones were a great band and I think I dug their sense of humour most. By the way: does anyone have A Tribute To The Ramones that came out, like, two years ago or so? The one with a cover by Metallica and the introduction on the booklet by Stephen King?

"We're a Happy Family: A Tribute to Ramones". Yeah, I have it and there's some pretty good stuff on it. The cover was illustrated by Rob Zombie, which is hilarious as it's "Zombiefied" caricatures of The Ramones, and he and Johnny Ramone pretty much put the project together. They got an all star roster of groups to do covers of Ramones' tunes. "Havana Affair" by the Chili Peppers, "Blitzkrieg Bop" by Zombie, "53rd & 3rd" by Metallica, "Beat on the Brat" by U2. Some other performers include KISS, Marilyn Manson, Garbage, Green Day, The Pretenders, Rancid, The Offspring, Eddie Vedder, etc.

I would assume it's the classic metal hand signal...or whatever you wanna call it. That's what it looked like to me anyway.

"Blitzkrieg Bop" by ZombieMan, I'd love to hear that one!! ;D Hmm, I'm surprised the name "Eddie Vedder" didn't catch your attention, Livingdeadgirl! He's performing two songs there and they belong to the best ones on the album! Love the RHChP cover, too!

It's the classic Metal hand gesture, index fingure and pinkie out, all others tucked in. Ahhh, the old goat horns. Horns up! \m/
