Last time we were talking about such scenes it was concerning Layla in Goodfellas. But there are many more, of course. These eight here are just (I hope) very good examples of how to marry songs and pictures in order to get us all emotional. Many had to be omitted ('Wise Up' in Magnolia, 'Eye Of The Tiger' in Rocky III, so on), so if you feel like reminding us of anything - no problem with me. But do vote for one in the poll.
If you don't remember a scene in the poll - please ask, and I'll tell you what it was... but it probably just means the scene in question is not your favourite of them all. I, for instance, could never forget the moment when 'Girl, You'll Be A Woman Soon' started in Pulp Fiction - shivers took over my spine easily! 'Stuck In The Middle With You' is another such moment (people were complaining that Tarantino 'spoiled' their romantic song as from seeing Reservoir Dogs on they would always think of Michael Madsen cutting off an ear), and I think that the only reason I'm choosing 'Girl' is the fact that I like Pulp Fiction more than Dogs.

To me, it's a tie between Pulp Fiction and Wayne's World. You gotta love that Bohemian Rhapsody scene.

Oh, yes - no question about it. I even started liking Queen a bit after this...

I had to vote for "Stuck..." of course! I loved the song before RD..and then saw that scene & never thought about it in the same way again. Layla would be my close second. I love Bohemian Rhapsody too but don't really associate it w/ the movie that much, not as much as the others anyway.
Another thing I would add would be the final battle scene in "Glory"...not really a song, but the instrumentals are amazing & really puts you right there alongside them. I'm from the South & anytime a scene like that can make me cheer for the Yankees, then someone has done something right! ;D

Had to go with RESERVOIR DOGS (Stuck In The Middle With You). None of the others make me think of the movie scene as instantly as this one does. I can no longer hear this song and not picture Michael Madsen (Mr. Blonde) dancing back & forth in that playful manner before he performs surgery on that poor cop. I can still hear "Bohemian Rhapsody" and not automatically think of WAYNE'S WORLD for instance, as I was already a fan of Queen's music.

Another one that comes to mind is the bar scene in Knockaround Guys when Taylor (Vin Diesel) is beating up the local guy & "Romeo's Tune" is playing. ;D That just cracks me up.

I went with "Layla" in GoodFellas. That was just a great moment right there. All the dead gangsters and one of the best outros of all time...
I think a better one for Pulp Fiction would be Comanche. That really made that scene intense. Bruce Willis frantically looking for a weapon...Ving Rhyames getting it from some rednecks...the Gimp...

The best piece imo in Goodfellas is Sunshine of Your Love - Cream, in the scene when the camera zooms in on De Niro.

Bohemian Rhapsody is the best song ever.

I went with none of your choices. My favorite is when the music gradually builds to a creschendo then stops while the main character in "28 Days Later" is first walking around an abandoned London.

If I remember this is quite an old post.
There is a case for the sword making scene in Kill Bill Vol 1 with Zamfir's "The Lonely Shepherd" rising to it's height at just the right moment.
I still stick by Layla though, out of this selection!

Went w/'Wayne's World' although I almost went with Trainspotting cause that song is perfect for that scene. Just hearing it immediately makes me think of the movie.
