;D Yeah, a lot of those songs back then should've been illegal. And to think I listened to that stuff....well, up until the mid to late 80's when I started listening to that hair band stuff.

...up until the mid to late 80's when I started listening to that hair band stuff. GUNS N' ROSES RULES!! I really dug a lot of the 80's "hair" or metal bands. Yeah, looking back a lot of it was crap and hasn't aged well, but damn did they know how to have a good time. It was definitely a moment in time that I'll always remember fondly. Saw many of them in concert in the "heyday" of the 80's and early 90's. Some of them include: Guns n' Roses, Motley Crue, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Ozzy Osbourne, Dokken, Twisted Sister, W.A.S.P., Ratt, Dio, KISS, Aerosmith, Queensryche, AC/DC, Warrant, The Cult and many, many others.

Yeah I still listen to some of those groups now. I can't even begin to list all of them that I saw in concert back in the day, that's what I spent what little money I had on...concert tix! I even got to meet Gene Simmons & Slaughter (who are the sweetest group of guys in the world!)

Slaughter the sweetest guys in the world? Sounds cool! ;D I used to love Motley Crue and even their John Corabi album would get a good grade from me. And Iron Maiden? One of my all time favourites, of course! You don't mean they also didn't age well, do you, Heineken?

Nope, didn't mean Maiden. There music is kinda timeless in that it doesn't sound like most of the music that came out of the 80's. They definitely had their own sound. Much like Metallica, who came out of the 80's as well, but weren't really a part of that scene.

Yeah, the Crue have always been one of my favorites. i saw Vince Neil last summer at an outdoor rock fest & he still sounds the same as he always did, he can still hit all those high notes. lol Also saw Poison on that show too, still sounded good.

Oh LDG! Wake me up before you Go-Go?! Now, Careless Whispers...there's a great song! Ok, just kidding! I had my share of neon dayglo crap in the 80's too. You know, socks and scrunchies. I never had a shirt though!
Anyway, as much as I hate to admit that I like Satan and Garfunkle, I can't believe they made the list either. I always joke with my husband that Paul Simon is Satan, but catch myself singing along when I hear a song by him.
However, I fully support "Ice, Ice, Baby" being on that list.

Am I the only one who thinks that whoever wrote that crappy list deserves to be stabbed repeatedly in the face with a dull spoon?

Here's a couple of more that should be on the list: 1. "Who Let the Dogs Out"-Baja Boys..or whatever they were called 2." Self-Control"-some 80's song, I can't even remember who sings it, but they play it at work all the time... 3. "I Would Walk 500 Miles"-The Proclaimers, I have nightmares about this one... Those are just a few...I could go on for hours...

Ah, this made me laugh pretty hard! ...a dull sthingy... ;D Sorry for the filter, Smitty: its ways are dufficult to predict sometimes, happened to me several times as well. I promise to change it today.

I've written some... Hello to you if this is the first time you've read one of my posts. They tend to go on. Bad songs can ruin entire memories, like for example the sound of Careless Whisper as the background to my first kiss etc. Yuck! Hows these: That one by samantha mumba that sampled Ashes to Ashes - sacrilege (?) in my opinion. Right by your side - The Eurythmics (just pap) I want to be a cowboy, god knows who by... etc. etc. Must not mention Imagine, must not mention Imagine, Must not..... ;D Or Creep. Or Spaceman by Babylon Zoo (oh go on then) Or Animal Army by Babylon Zoo etc. etc. The whole Moulin Rouge soundtrack. There are so many more, oh, but it was the Baha Men, if that's any help, and you're dead right. Algo P.S. Metal Machine Music, apparently.
