I'll go with them one at the time rather than post a long list here. And it would be nice if you guys added some titles, too, of course.
[glow=red,2,300]Touch[/glow]
Liking all the Tarantino-connected soundtracks (but always having a problem with liking ALL the songs on Pulp Fiction or Kill Bill) I got interested in this one, too: the movie's based on Elmore Leonard's novel (that's one of Quentin's fave authors, Jackie Brown was also based on his book), there's Jackie Brown's Bridget Fonda in it AND the music has a similar feel to what Quentin usually uses in his movies. However, there are two major differences:
- Touch, as a movie, is crap - all the music was composed by one guy - Foo Fighter's own Dave Grohl - and the album is therefore much more coherent than anything concocted by Tarantino so far.
The general advice here is: buy the soundtrack, forget about the movie (which is about an annoying youngster who has a healing touch and people wish to exploit his gift); don't be misled by good casting, either: Christopher Walken sure plays there but believe me, even he can't do anything when they give him crap to play.
Back to music: as I said before, these are groovy old-fashioned sounds, so don't expect a hidden Foo Fighters album here; it's very energetic, very catchy and the only thing you have to forgive Dave is one lame ballad somewhere in the middle. Still - one of my favourite soundtracks ever.

My favorite soundtracks would have to be Pulp Fiction and Reservoir Dogs...you gotta love Q's choice of quirky music. Also loved the music from "Vampires". Oh god, almost forgot..."The Crow"...awesome soundtrack!

I liked the one for Crow and I think I could LOVE the one for Vampires - just never listened to a whole CD, but from what I remember from the movie, it should be one kick-ass stuff!
QT's things are all classics, of course, so I'm not going to argue with those choices - bring more of those, Mr Q!

I've never really been a big fan of instrumental/orchestra music as a whole, but I really liked the music on Vampires. It's the only soundtrack of all instrumentals that I've ever bought along w/ the soundtrack from "Glory". Great music on that one too.

Best Soundtracks:
Any Tarantino flick, any song. His taste in music is flawless.
Daredevil, incredibly played out yet still awesome song, "Bring Me to Life" by Evanescence
Any Final Fantasy soundtrack. Yeah, I know they're not movies, but Nobuo Uematsu should compose for movies, he's a genius.
Lord of the Rings
Love Actually
The Matrix Revolutions, song "Navras" by Juno Reactor
Once Upon a Time in Mexico, songs "Siente Mi Amor" performed by Salma Hayek, "Pistolero" by Juno Reactor, and "Cucka Rocka" by Chingon
Star Wars
Underworld, songs "Awakening", "REV 22:20"
Willow

I normally don't pay much attention to the soundtrack, but there are a few that stand out in my mind.
Obviously some of Argento's stuff, notably Deep Red, Suspiria, and Terror at the Opera.
Maximum Overdrive, besides being grossly underrated, has one of the best soundtracks ever - it's also one of AC/DC's best albums.
The new Dawn of the Dead had some good stuff, Johnny Cash towards the start and the "Get Down with the Sickness" tune was quite good - both in it's rock and hipster forms.
Also, the voodoo drums in Fulci's Zombie, The Road Leads to Nowhere in both Last House on the Left and Cabin Fever, and Dokken in Dream Warriors.
I guess I do pay attention to the soundtrack, well I'll be damned.

;D I loved the lounge version of "Down With the Sickness" in Dawn of the Dead.
It was performed by Richard Cheese and the Lounge Against the Machine. They have other hilarious song remakes, specifically, the Limp Bizkit medley and Britney Spears' "Crazy".

I still haven't seen the new Dawn, so I'll tell you later what I think of this track.
Dokken in Dream Warriors, though? Now that's a true classic! Also a good music video made for it (featured on the Nightmare 3 DVD) - you just have to stay with it till the end to get the joke!

"I loved the lounge version of Down With the Sickness in Dawn of the Dead."
Yup. Me too. Cool that they included the original Disturbed version as well. Great song. Liked the Johhny Cash song at the beginning too, like Father Red said. Gotta agree with him also on AC/DC's soundtrack to MAXIMUM OVERDRIVE, even though I'm not a fan of the movie.
Some other favorites:
Danny Elfman's BATMAN John Williams' THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK THE BIG CHILL (Great Motown stuff!) THE CROW, LAST ACTION HERO, HEAVY METAL, END OF DAYS & ESCAPE FROM L.A. are all good rock soundtracks. And of course, the aforementioned RESERVOIR DOGS & PULP FICTION.

I love The Big Chill soundtrack too...I think I've worn out my cd...if that's possible! I've been looking for the soundtrack for Knockaround Guys, but I don't think they've put one out b/c I can't find it anywhere, and the only song from it I've found to d'load is "Not Dark Yet" by Dylan.

I got a copy off of Kazaa, I could send it to you sometime if you use Yahoo Messenger.
If not, it's called "When the Man Comes Around" and can be found on any P2P network.
