For some reason, DeepDiscount kept declining my credit card, so none of the DVDs I ordered are actually headed my way. So for now, no Badder Santa, no Dark City, no Manchurian Candidate, and no Roger Rabbit.
Actually, I bought the Manchurian Candidate at Wal-Mart. So there.

Hey, I finally broke down & bought some dvd's! ;D I hit the $5.99 bin at Best Buy & got '2 Days in the Valley', 'Young Guns 2' & 'Ghost Dog:The Way of the Samauri'. Then they had a two-pack of 'The Rundown' & 'Scorpion King' for $19.99 so I had to pick that up too.

Termination, all 4 movies are excellent IMHO...
I could live without 13 Going on 30 (even though I really liked it), but I really must have the other 3 in my collection.
Last night, I picked up SNL: The Best of Will Ferrell. Reason being that I had a fever, and the only prescription was MORE COWBELL.

Thanks for thumbs up Smitty. I wasn't sure if Hidalgo was a wise purchase until I saw it last night. Great film! I also watched Monty Python but will have to watch it again soon because some of the humor went over my head. Liked the opening credits & the rabbit scene. ;D 13 going on 30, I was thinking 'chick flick' when I bought it & probably could live without, but I'll let the film speak for itself tonight along with Hellboy. Oh, good buy with SNL Smitty, if you don't already know, SNL will be releasing SNL: The Best of Will Ferrell Vol 2 on September 7th.

Ahh! It's painful when you remind me of this, 42nd! I saw it for, like, 7 or 8 pounds but have already spent all my London money on other DVD's and the many books... I remember the movie hazily but after reading Michael Slade's "Evil Eye" - where the same events are described - and after hearing that he also values this movie a lot, I felt all sorts of pain after not buying it... Damn! The DVD's I could afford during my short trip are: Suspiria Tenebrae Texas Chainsaw Massacre (the remake) Zombie Flesh Eaters 2 & 3 The House By The Cemetery City Of The Living Dead An American Werewolf In London Narc Family Guy Season 1 How To Irritate People ...plus a bunch of VHS's with The Simpsons and Spooks. All of these courtesy of the HMV and Virgin sales, of course.
