Never seen Home Fries before. It just happened to sneak its way into my basket while shopping in the cheap $6.88 Walmart bin.

lol, it just HAPPENED to sneak in there? It's pretty good, Drew Barrymore plays the usual cute perky character she always does, but Jake Busey & Luke Wilson are hilarious! Definately worth watching the movie for.
And I can't even afford to shop in the cheap Wal-Mart bins right now...even though I get a discount b/c I work there. ;D

Thanks livingdeadgirl for your take of the film, for a second, I thought I bought a piece of trash. Feel much better now. Sorry to hear you can't afford to buy titles, even in the cheap bin at Walmart. But then again, maybe thats a good thing. I myself will stop buying dvds (I can wish right? ;D) until I have watched the ones I havn't yet thrown in my dvd player. Where am I, oh yes just watched 4 today. ok 4 down 105 to go.

Well, maybe it's not so much that I don't HAVE the money to buy dvd's, but I'm just really consevative when it comes to money & always feel guilty if I buy stuff I really don't need. ;D But anyway...no 'Home Fries' isn't a piece of trash, just one of those good fun movies to watch, so you didn't waste your money. That's just my opinion though, someone else may have a different view.

I got THE most controversial amazon shipment in my DVD-collecting career: King Solomon's Mines Allan Quatermain And The Lost City Of God House Of Clocks Sweet House Of Horrors Controversial!!! 'Bad' would be a better word. Now I know - finally saw them and... well, no blind buys for at least six months. Here's my rating of these DVD's (I'm too ashamed to go into details right now): King Solomon's Mines - 7/10 (the only one worth buying) Allan Quatermain And The Lost City Of God - 4/10 House Of Clocks - 5/10 Sweet House Of Horrors - 2/10

I guess it is... though some of the sequels are pretty bad from what I heard. Still - this is classic stuff we talk about so who minds a little amount of trash there, huh?
And Heineken? You do what you can so that livingdeadgirl has even more reasons to hate you with passion, don't you? ;D

"I guess it is... though some of the sequels are pretty bad from what I heard. Still - this is classic stuff we talk about so who minds a little amount of trash there, huh?" Oh sure, I don't expect all the sequels to be great, I'm sure there will be a fair amount of cheeze among them, but honestly, I've never seen a lot of them, so it'll be fun checkin' 'em out for the first time. And for the price I paid for the whole set, who can complain? "And Heineken? You do what you can so that livingdeadgirl has even more reasons to hate you with passion, don't you? ;D" Love me, love my DVD collection. Besides, as long as Termination keeps up his DVD buying habits, I think I'm fairly safe.

"Love me, love my DVD collection. Besides, as long as Termination keeps up his DVD buying habits, I think I'm fairly safe" Well, to be on the safe side, I'm gonna start to watch the ones I have & make sure they work before I get another 8 buggies full. ;D I had to watch The Butterfly Effect twice on Tuesday. Why? I got the dvd & watched the director's cut & with only 4 minutes remaining in the film, the dvd froze. (Only the most important part of the film. ) So I took it back, got it exchanged no questions asked, & watched the damn film again with no problems. Its a miracle!! Now I feel I should be on the Down Low in terms of dvd spending, but why would I want to make livingdeadgirl happy?
