Probably the first time I watched The Exorcist....and it still creeps me out today. And...the first time I saw Amityville Horror. Not too scary now days, but I was a kid back then. Obvious pick, it too inprinted something traumatic in my brain, and now my day to day is filled with demons, parochial punks, defiled women and girls pissing on carpets of haneke loving half wise twits. I am grateful for that

Definitely The Witches for me, the Roald Dahl adaptation. I must have been about six years old, and when the witches peeled off their human faces to reveal the horror beneath, I burst into tears and ran out of the room screaming. It might not actually be that scary; I wouldn't know, I still won't watch it. A bit irrational, no?

Yeah, it was. Nicolas Roeg directed it I think, and Anjelica Huston was the evil witch. I've blanked the rest out, out of fear. Maybe I should see it as a new year's resolution. I'll still have to have my girlfriend nearby in case I get scared though!

Yeah, I remember that movie. I saw it when I was a kid. Remember when the kid turned into a mouse? That scared the shit out of me for some reason.

Anjelica Houston was amazing as the lead witch, though the ending was changed in the movie from the book (which is brilliant by the way) to make it all "happy" and junk.

Over the holidays, I was staying at a friend's house, and as a bedtime story, we had to read the book to his six year old sister. I saw the bit with the melting faces coming up, and promptly pretended I needed the bathroom to avoid it altogether. I foresee a great deal of therapy coming up.
